I baked a ham, some beans, and put some meatballs and bbq sauce in a crockpot. Brought them over to my grandmother's house with the family. They had turkey, mashed potatoes, and the usual stuff. And my cousin brought taco salad, because she said she woke up and wanted taco salad.

The desert table was almost as big as the meal table. Six pumpkin pies (too many), a banana cream pie, various fruit pies, jello stuffs, etc, etc.

I had cheesecake. It's pretty much the only time of the year I get to eat it. Man I love cheesecake.

I've decided flannel pajama pants and sweatshirts are pretty much perfect clothing this time of year. I'm wondering somewhat in my mind why I dress up for work at all. I wonder how they would react if I just started wearing pajamas. I mean I work at a computer, it's not like I need protective clothing. And who would not be more comfortable in a pajama meeting. If I'm going to sit in a meeting and listen to your self important prattle for some thing that could have been handled in email I might as well be comfortable right?

This is the first time I can recall going to a restaurant for Thanksgiving, but it's my favorite restaurant that had an overpriced Thanksgiving dinner. Other than that, nothing special.

We went to a restaurant for Thanksgiving one year. My daughter couldn't get home, so we each drove 4 hours to meet midway. It was a German Restaurant.

The food was good, but having no left-overs kind of stunk.

Yoga dress pants are very popular at my office.

Do they hug the ass? This is important.

When I was in my late teens, I hung out at a restaurant one Thanksgiving with some friends as we knew a girl working there. It was the restaurant's first time open on Thanksgiving and they had a whole special menu for the night of turkey, stuffing, etc. All the normal stuff. Anyway, no one came. We were the only people in the place for hours. The owner gave us all free dinners -- well, second dinners for most of us -- and I felt bad knowing he'd be tossing a ton of food.

I suppose these days he'd run pretty brisk business on Thanksgiving. Sort of weird to think about how rapidly it changed.

Back when I was on good speaking terms with my family... I used to have multiple Holiday meals.

Now it's just my one Grandmother and the direct family around that. Everyone else has distanced themselves and we no longer spend time with them.

I approve of tight yoga pants. Also my Dad has an insane and huge Maine **** cat. I did not go there this year but last year that thing sat on my lap and it felt like a bag of bricks. I could not take it after about 15 minutes my legs started going numb. Then it decided it was going to bite my sister because it was not in the mood to be petted. After that it leaped 10 feet in the air up it's cat totem in about 1.5 seconds and proceeded to stare us all daggers while hissing.

Crazy cat, crazy cat, what are they feeding you?

I don't host Thanksgiving at my place (a bit too small for my family), but I love Thanksgiving leftovers, so Black Friday for me is make-my-own-turkey day. I cook a turkey, stuffing, sauce, and gravy and make my own meal. About 2/3rds of the turkey meat gets tossed in the freezer for later consumption, while I work my way through the stuff I cooked. Oh. And of course there must be soup! There's something awesome about taking the carcass, adding a few bucks of ingredients to it, and creating a magical golden nectar of the gods. Timing to make the stock, and then make soup works out perfectly to make it a "second dinner" after the main course.

Still have a fridge full of food. Yum... Burp!
