Am I out of touch that I have no clue who any of these people are, nor do I care? I mean, I had at least heard of Beyonce.

Nah. Few people have any real reason to know game designers/developers by name much less care about their thoughts on anything besides making pew-pew games.

In other news, The Independent put out a relatively fair article about the whole thing. Misses important context such as the months of hearing people in NYS called "uncle Toms" and other similar things, but overall, a pretty good article. And the creator of Earthworm Jim stepped up to support NYS, which was cool.
Edit: Also, I'm hearing rumors that Leigh Alexander is leaving Gamasutra. Probably to find somewhere that gamers don't have to be her audience.

Actually, that was one of the things that the article got wrong. He said "Forty" not "Forty-eight".

To be fair, I've never seen Anita Sarkeesian play a game. She might be a KB+M devotee. We could get together over coffee and laugh and the controller people.
