I 3d printed a batcoin.
I'm not sure if that makes it worth less, or more? I'm pretty sure the cost of the plastic exceeded the value of all batcoins everywhere.
That's pretty cool. Did you make the design yourself?
Next you should design a Zamcoin...imbued with magic.
Are there various colors of plastic, or does the plastic just come in a base color to be painted later?
I made the 3d variant of it, the 2d image is actually a picture of a coin that someone made a few years back.
I could make a zam coin Would anyone else be interested by such a thingy?
The printer filament plastic comes in various colors and materials, and can usually be painted. I mainly print with solid ABS plastic (same stuff legos and plasti model kits are made from) but there are also flexible plastics that print urethane like items, clear plastics, nylon (think weed whacker trimmer line) wood powder imbued filliament that looks like wood when it prints, something that prints resembling sandstone (which really wreaks havoc on your printer so I don't recommend one) and most recently bronze powder filliament that can be kind of polished and shined.
You can also use the kind of 3d printers I have to extrude various other paste like materials, including clay, chocolate, pizza sauce, sugar etc. with a few printable modifications.
