And yeah, yellow*2 or red card means you're done for the match and in case of a direct red card plus a suspension for the next match, this also goes for 2 yellow cards in different matches (the suspension that is). In case of a violent foul like this one there's a chance the suspension will be for 3 matches instead of one.
These suspensions aren't gone after they leave the world cup either, they count for all official FIFA matches.
Edit: So should Italy lose, Marchisio will be suspended from playing in the first match of the Euro 2016 qualifiers, as will Mario Balotelli because he got his second yellow card this world cup.
