I'll have to look into that. I've never been able to beat out the volume increases from the back seat, they can match everything I do. Eventually the radio is loud, and everyone is screaming and unhappy.

A quiet "Daddy is that a blue car?" x1000 is so much easier on the system.

I always had my charger with me when I worked outside the house, and I would plug it into the stereo like an oversized iPod all the time. :)

I do that sometimes. USB line from stereo to phone to charge and aux. audio line from phone to stereo to play Pandora or something. I need to be in the mood to bother with it though. Usually I just take one of my USB sticks with umpteen hundred songs, plug it in and hit random.

In our new car, the USB does both, charges and plays music. I likes it.

I got a cheap guitar amp from a pawn shop and hook my iPod to it to listen to music when in loud environments like rifle ranges and flight lines. I can leave it on like 1 and still easily hear it over a C130. Best $20 I spent that day.

Good God, have you had your hearing checked recently?
