The difference is that NCIS uses CSI agents to do the crime scene work while they go out and arrest/interrogate suspects. I know that CSI agents do the same in a lot of CSI episodes, but that's Hollywood for ya.
On topic: My peeve with this Google censoring stems from me growing up in a country where pretty much anything goes. No one gives a damn about swear words here. Well, some shows for kids do, but come on, someone published a children's book called "The mole who wanted to know who had taken a **** on its head" (lit.transl.). Yeah, no, I'm not kidding. And this is what it was translated into...
Oh, yeah, and we have this children's book.
I'm pretty sure that cover art would make some people choke on their morning coffee at Google HQ. Anyway, they're free to cut funding to whatever they disapprove of, but I think it's ridiculous.
