You mean aside from the crippling drought, pushes for water rationing and half the state being on fire at any given moment? Smiley: laugh

And earthquakes! Don't forget the earthquakes. You're right. It sucks here. You all stay where you live and don't come here. It's just too perilous!

I felt a few small earthquakes while we were in Hawaii. It was pretty neat.

Granted, there wasn't huge shaking and buildings falling apart or anything. I am sure I'd have a different view if that were the case.

Apparently there was a small earthquake somewhere in Western Kentucky just last week or so. I got into work the following day and everyone was asking me if I felt it. I had no idea what they were talking about. Maybe I thought it was a truck driving down the freeway behind the hotel?

A quarter inch of snow in San Francisco would be news. I think it happened back in the 70s or so. It'd be fun watching people slide down the hills.

And of course the bad news for us is going to be this summer. We need the precipitation the Midwest keeps getting. Stupid off kilter weather. Smiley: glare

Didn't they shut down part of the state last year for like half a day, with the whole people camping in their cars and truck bit?

Not my part of the state, no. We haven't had even near normal precipitation in over a year.

Right now, we have about 3" here in southern, coastal Maine. Shouldn't be too horrible, except for the fact that there was still some ice left on some walking paths around here, and I just fell flat on my god damned face while walking the dog.

Frozen to the core at -6. You need to stop whining, or possibly wear something warmer than shorts and a tshirt. This does not count as cold weather.

Just cold and wind means nothing to spoil the ice. Doesn't get much better than that.

No no no. Winter is supposed to be gray, a few degrees over freezing and rainy. What's with the world this year? It's that global warming thing isn't it?

Darn it all, I knew I should have bought a hybrid. Smiley: glare

Can we have it back? You can have some of this freakishly frigid stuff.

We're just way too amphibian like out here for this kind of thing.

I mostly smash proteins.

Maybe you could have someone supercharge those windmills of yours, blow it all this way?

I think you may have to look up how windmills work and what they do.

They mill the wind so that it's fine enough for us to eat.

You shouldn't limit yourself like that. Don't think of what things can do, imagine what they could do! Smiley: schooled
