We have a pathetic scattering of snow here.

To make up for it, it's 0F (-17C)

With the wind its Wind chill: -20F (-30C)

Historically when its this frigid the humidity is negligible; not so these days.

Only about four inches of snow here, but the freezing rain made driving early this morning a nightmare. I had to wait a couple hours before going in to work, it just wasn't worth trying to drive in that mess.

Ten inches here, with thin sheets of ice layered throughout.

Frozen to the core at -6. You need to stop whining, or possibly wear something warmer than shorts and a tshirt. This does not count as cold weather.

Wait a minute. Weren't you the one who was whining in Boston about how cold it was in May and stated how you would never ever move somewhere colder than FL? Smiley: dubious

I almost had to get out the yardstick because the snow was starting to tickle my balls.

we got hit with 5 inches of snow yesterday, covered in sleet, and then another 2 inches today. However, humor still runs rampant down here as we mock ourselves for our unbelievable stupidity. Made Reddit front page with this photo, which is about 20 minutes from where I live:

We were at 28F today. I drove home with the window cracked open a couple inches. Gotta catch those warm tropical breezes.

It was reasonably warm today, just under freezing. The snow, though, is another matter. The prediction was for about one inch of accumulation, but is at six and counting right now. It hasn't been warm enough for it to melt even a little bit for more than a month, so I'm starting to run out places to put the stuff when I'm shoveling out the driveway.

Haha. I just finished up a new system platform integration yesterday and was like "Ok Raleigh office. Your new system is next. Can you guys unpack the system and set up X, Y, Z, etc for me so I can start doing remote work?", and they were like "F-U dude! We're getting the heck out of here before we're stuck and have to eat Kenny to survive!". I cut em some slack. Just this once, mind you!

Eight and a half inches came down earlier today, and Round Two is about to ramp up. This may very well be heavier.

School was, obviously, closed today, and they have scheduled holidays tomorrow and Monday. So...five day weekend.

Those people in NC must be freezing to death if they felt the need to start a car on fire.

Final tally: 19.5" on my back deck. Couldn't find the yardstick and using a tape measure in this wasn't feasible. I had to stick a broom handle in the snow then measure the snow mark.

That's why we have mountains and hills and stuff like that. For those years when the snow doesn't reach the valley floor you can simply drive 30 minutes and go play in it.

Seriously, you should look into getting some.

See that's nice and all, but not all that useful. Kinda like Mazra claiming they have snow because Greenland. I mean it's technically true, but doesn't really help anyone.
