I plucked and fried up some of these toadstools last night. They're boletes. I think king boletes. They were really tasty.

It's Friday again. What's going on?

The one on the left looks like a wrinkled ******* complete with ball sack. I'm currently mourning the loss of my car yesterday to Tropical Storm level rain and hydroplaning. Smiley: frown

Yeah, slid right into the car in front of me. Funny enough that car managed to drive away with what looks like only a broken tail light bulb.

Edit: Just remembered that ******* and ball sack are the same thing.

I am finishing up my week's paperwork and cleaning house in anticipation of my sister and her brood.

Well, not at this moment; right now I'm taking a few minutes for breakfast and coffee.

I've got peach pics too. My peach tree. We've got lots of fruit but still have 2 or 3 weeks before it's ready.

My peaches and others I've found grown around here are small. They have good flavor and are tender and fresh and make good jam and pies. But they're not as good as the big, sweet, juicy peaches grown further south - the ones that are impossible to eat without getting peach juice all over you. Smiley: grin

Then you're going to need a car to attract the honeys. May I recommend a 2005 Nissan Altima with six-CD changer?

Swapping 30 minutes of lunch for 30 minutes of "leave early" since my boss is on vacation.

Going to the pub with a friend tonight (I hope.) Going to be packing/shopping madly tomorrow for my first big business trip next week (*squee*) and then we're going kayaking on Sunday.

The next 8 days are going to be nonstop.

We will be working on a room we're remodeling, that started as "we should take the walls to the studs and put in insulation" and fairly rapidly became a full scale war with carpenter ants and "we should rebuild this wall". We're back to putting in insulation after solving the gaping hole in the side of the house problem. Fucking ants.

I finished my MCPX BL rebuild project that I was working on (new carbon frame, more precise rotor head, stronger and lighter main blades, tail reinforcement, servo reverse to allow for stright servo links for faster reaction speeds, and a one way bearing on the main shaft to kind of allow for autorotation landings) , so I'll take it out for a bit of flying this afternoon, weather permitting. It's just big enough that flying it indoors at ,my skill level is probably not advisable.

I have a few server type projects I have to take care of tomorrow or sunday (some rack moves, a few cable reroutes, etc) in preperation for expanding our ESX presence, which is really kind of annoying because I wanted to go somewhere this weekend, but, Duty calls I suppose (at least for now...)

I hear if you coat your neighbors house in sugar water and wood alchohol, that problem goes away for a few years...
