The fact that this image is the proof that Subway was making a false claim is also proof of the point I'm making.

It's not "the proof", it's just part of the evidence of the case.

Great! Then it's evidence of the point I'm making. Whatever word you feel more comfortable with I suppose.

Yes. Because absent that, it's not so easy to shut down that argument. Thanks for playing.

BTW, you guys are way too easy.

Also worth mentioning that no Subway sandwich in the history of Subway sandwiches has ever looked like that, length notwithstanding.
This picture is clearly measuring the distance between the hands and not the length of the sub. It's obvious.

I noticed that their most recent commercial doesn't have the yellow arrow any longer.

Well, I think the arrow and one foot measurement was mostly during the "Five, Five Dollar, Five Dollar Footlong" jingle commercials. I haven't seen those commercials in a while.

No, it was a Five Dollar Footlong commercial with jingle. Made a half-assed effort to see if it was on Youtube but the signal:noise ratio there wasn't in my favor.

There's a place here that has a burrito "as big as a newborn baby." They actually have a picture up at the register of one of their burritos next to a new born baby. That burrito is huge.

Don't remember the jingle, but they've still got Five Dollar Foot Long tag going.

I'm sure I saw a Subway quick commercial during the ball game last night that was promoting the 5$ footlong (not the Jared commercial). It showed the ruler.

I saw that as well. The logo in the left hand corner had the arrow underlining the "foot long" part.

Yeah. I noticed that too. Also noticed it just said "Footlong", and not "1 ft". So either they're planning on fixing the bread length, or they're just not that concerned about the cost of said lawsuit versus benefits of continuing to use the phrase when describing their sandwiches.
