He's like a dog. You call his name and his ears perk up and he runs right to you, tongue hanging out, panting away.

I'd not suggest the flushing technique as I think today's low-flow toilets would clog up.

Actually, I've been muted/banned up until a few hours ago. Fortunately, I've been incredibly busy anyway and decided just to lurk for awhile. As much as I enjoy following Jophiel's trolling, that one was subpar.

Although I see both sides of the story, I find it interesting that people see this as an "interracial dating" issue when the claim was no "people of color". The thought of an all Asian or all Hispanic or all Black cast never crossed your minds. This isn't about interracial dating, but ratings. People like to see "themselves" or people that they can relate to in the media. That same cast in another country probably wouldn't hold water, but is ideal for ratings in the U.S. This only supports my theory of active racial discrimination, where people aren't discriminated on merit, but simply the color of their skin in order to increase revenue.
Quite clearly the claim of the lawsuit was no people of color in the 'central' role of the pre-existing show. Why would we 'think' about an all black show?

You're reaching into places that the complaint/lawsuit doesn't go.

Welcome back.

Thanks,

You're missing the point. If the claim were that no "people of color" were in the central role, then it's not an issue on interracial dating. There's no connection on the color of the central person and the color of the remaining participants. Their skin colors could just as easily be "reversed" in the ratio sense of the current racial set up.

Not only that, if the complaint is on the central role, then that implies that there were "people of color" not in the central role, which means there's already "promotion" of interracial dating. If there were NEVER any "person of color" on the show, then that would be a different story.

Except that there is an issue of inter-racial dating. The people filing the complaint or lawsuit or whatever it is, also pointed out that while there have been PoC on the shows, they are usually eliminated fairly quickly. So while the idea of inter-racial dating is there, it isn't actually being practiced, because none of the PoC had a shot anyways, either because the people in charge of the show are racist jerks, or because the Bachelor/ettes are racist jerks.

Or maybe the black people on that show just weren't attractive (in whatever fashion) to the central character. Crazy, I know.

I'm white, and I tend to not be as attracted to black girls, for whatever reason. I've seen ones that are very attractive; they just seem to be fewer and farther between for me.

I'm even less into Asian girls, which seems to separate me from my constituents.

Guess I'm racist! Who knew? Smiley: tongue

Same for me. Now, when I do see one I think is attractive, they're not just attractive, but out of this world. Same with Asians. I already knew I was racist though. I have a shaved head, so I have to be.

And you'll stay that way until you change your attitude.

Really, "Asian" usually means "Japanese" in this context. If there's a big market for Korean/Chinese/Vietnamese/Etc girls, I've missed it. Maybe Thai but I think that's based more on, ahem, "culture" than raw physical appeal.

If we're talking gamers, then yeah, probably. Something to go along with their anime collection, I suppose. I dunno.

I'm not sure my other white guy friends who don't play games are so discerning, though. I'm pretty sure they take to girls of Chinese or Korean descent just as readily. Thai folk have a more distinct look, as do a lot of Vietnamese, so I'm not sure about them.

I'd say Koreans have a distinct look. Not that it's good, bad or otherwise but that I wouldn't confuse a Korean lass with a Japanese one.

I suppose I don't think I would, either. Just that the difference from Japanese to Korean isn't half as pronounced as the difference from Japanese to Thai.

Now, there are definitely some Indian girls I could go for, myself. Smiley: drool

If you find yourself a Japanese girl who's a quarter Chinese you can get people to swear up and down that she's Korean.

Makes for some fun conversations. Smiley: lol

Oh, I'm really into Chinese and Vietnamese girls. Chinese, like Japanese girls, have really diverse faces, and Vietnamese girls tend to be on the tall and willowy side. Of the Japanese girls, I tend to often like the ones that look the least western: the ones with long faces, hooked but small and elegant noses, and really narrow eyes. They tend to show up more in historical ghost movies than modern media shows.

If Aung San Suu Kyi is representative of beautiful Burmese women, then they're fantastic as well. Aung San Suu Kyi was drop dead gorgeous for decades when she was younger. I really dig that whole fresh flowers in the hair every day look. Not that she needed it to be spectacular, but it sure helped. Now she's a GILF, and not only for her mind and morals ^-^
