The bronze statue is one of many in front of our Town Hall. They have about 5 bronze kid statues playing, making music, having fun, and one little bronze dog playing with them. Our town is huge on art and supporting local artists, so you find some pretty cool things randomly throughout the town. They just added these weird sculptures of young adults with glass heads sitting on the lawn of our community theater that light up purple at night. Kind of freaky to go by when its dark and see floating purple heads by the stoplight Smiley: lol

As for media stuff, I started doing the virtual scrapbooks when Ashe was born and we moved down to NC. It was easier than sending bulk packages of copied photos to the grandparents, plus I have a lot of fun making vids.

It had a coppery sheen when he was born, but that quickly went away.

Jonwin and I had plans to take both of my grand kids to the B&O Museum, but plans were changed since my grand son couldn't bend his knee without pain. We think it's growing pains, something I suffered from as a child too.

Instead we took my grand daughter to The Baltimore Museum of Art. They had activities for Kwanzaa Family Day.

There's no such thing as growing pains. Get that kid to a doctor.

A bunch of other contradictory sources out there too. Most blame kid knee pains on overuse or in some cases childhood rickets or low bone density. Others seem to think its normal and just ignore them, they will go away. The fact that they are in the knees is probably worth investigating in its own right though.

It could be all kinds of things. The point is that pain in a 12 year old that restricts walking or movement should be checked out. That's not normal.

Kao's link mentions nighttime leg movement. That's not what I got from Elne's description at all.

yeah bending th knee with major pain isnt what I remember. Id get that checked out. but as per growing pains in general, I remember a lot of pain in my legs (not joints) during parts of my childhood. They hurt like a **** and were centered around my calves or thighs. It would be like that for a few days to a week then go away on its own

Even plain old leg cramps can indicate a dietary insufficiency (like calcium), or dehydration. Probably other stuff, dunno.
