Libya's interim leader outlined more radical plans to introduce Islamic law than expected as he declared the official liberation of the country.

Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and now what's the new one? Syria is it? Obama's lasting legacy.

I'm surprised that someone who claims to sleep around is against polygamy.

Of course those "radical plans" are in regards to polygamy and banking interest.

I laugh though that Varus is trying to pin the elected governments of Iraq & Afghanistan on Obama. But I thought bringing democracy to those nations was Bush's finest achievement! Smiley: laugh

Joph, democracy is out. America is a Republic, not a Democracy. Know what Democracy looks like? MADNESS! Occupy Wall Street styled madness! People should be happy that there is an elite making the right decisions for them!

Unless those decisions aren't the ones that right-wingers want, of course.

Yeah, the citizens of any particular country shouldn't be able to form the type of government they want to rule them. Instead they should be subject to the whims of a foreign country ten thousand miles away.

Well, you already supported Gaddafi so I guess it's no surprise you'd support the Assad regime as well.

Obama won himself a little war, with about $100 Billion in missles, a lot of diplomacy, an actual coalition, no american lives lost, & no quagmire.

I'm willing to give the French & British governments majority credit for spearheading the operation (and said at the time that we all should have gotten involved sooner) but I'm glad we chose to get involved even on a "better late than never" basis. And the US operations were especially significant in the start of the UN/NATO effort.

Of course, if things all go to hell, you won't see Varus & Co saying the French and British deserve majority blame Smiley: laugh

While I'm happy to see Qaddafi gone, I feel that the world is a poorer place for it. Shot in the street, with none of Saddam's grandstanding.

He was like, the last living James Bond villain. The harem of Swedish nurses, the crazy, the sun glasses...

All we have left is Kim Jung Il- & Bond isn't gonna **** a Korean.

I personally don't care much either way but the US stance is to support a UN/Libyan investigation into it.

Foreign policy nightmare, eh? Even Fox News calls it "foreign policy victories" but points out that the real bear in the room is the economy.
