I got a food mill for my b-day last week. I'm gonna try it out this weekend and mill some food for canning. Atm, I'm using the other part of my morning coffee break to shop at Zappos as I got a gift cert. for there. Think I'm gonna get these boots (the black leather ones). Do you like them?

We got a late load of firewood delivered yesterday. I see much wood stacking in my near future.

Nothing planned much beyond that. You?

What's a food mill?

I'm planning on spending the weekend doing the other half of the plumbing job that I started last weekend (hot and cold), and then pack before my trip to Detroit. That's a boring place to travel on business imo.

gonna be a fun week here for the fam. We're heading to the State fair tomorrow to spend oodles of money on rides, fried food, and fun. Sunday we're heading to a Trunk or Treat, where the boys and I get to officially wear our costumes for the first time.

Charmaine's got field hockey camp tonight.

Saturday, Ray and I are taking the 2 younger ones to Disneyland! Well, Disneyland in the morning and then California Adventure in the afternoon and evening.

Sunday, recuperating from Saturday.

ETA: And wasn't today supposed to be Rapture Day? What, did Moammar Gadhafi's death ruin that?

Taking the kids to swimming lessons tomorrow, followed by dropping by my friend's toy store who's having their one year anniversary. Off to Vegas on Sunday.

We're going to drive up to the mountains tomorrow and see if any of the leaves have started changing there yet. It's still fairly green here in Knoxville. Then Sunday night we might go to the Shriner's circus. That's still up for debate right now.

I think I'm doing work tomorrow down in Newark, continuing the project I worked on last Monday. So, fuck y'all, Bank of America is paying me overtime to set up a 500-seat foreclosure office.

It's Joph v3.0's birthday on Sunday and the house is filled with Peruvian immigrants from Northern Virginia. I called the feds but they seemed strangely unconcerned. We're just doing a breakfast thing on Sunday morning since the baby didn't have any strong opinions on the matter.

Wow. One already.

A food mill is basically just a strainer a sauce pan and a smoosher (with a crank handle) all-in-one.

Theoretically it will save me some work. I've looked at the mills before but they seem kind of chinsy. I'm not sure how well it will hold up to all the stuff I smoosh through strainers (I typically get a new wire strainer every other year or so just for canning stuff).

So you're basically turning real food into Gerber's food? Got it!

Saturday, doing a "day of games" with some friends/relatives. Should be fun since we're going to play at my cousin's dad's house, which is where we all used to hang out and play games back when we were much much younger. So it's like old home day or something.

Sunday is football and some upkeep on the house. Then my regular game night. Oh yes. We are off to The Rubble to see what trouble we can get into. What could possibly go wrong?

I plan on having the same anxiety attack I've had all week because my dog barked all of last Monday night while I was at work and pissed off the neighbors (landlords).

I think Newark is sufficient punishment enough. :P

I'll be in Atlantic City tonight for my sister's/soon-to-be-brother-in-law's combined bachelor/bachelorette party. Rest of my time will be spent doing papers/studying for midterms.

I'm worn out. We spent the day in Gatlinburg along with just about everyone else in the country. I've never seen that area so packed. EVERYONE wanted to come see the damn leaves in all their splendor (and they weren't that great since it hasn't rained around here in a long time). We couldn't go up to Clingman's Dome either, and that's what I really wanted to do. Smiley: frown

I just threw some lumber together and made an improvised inversion therapy table. Kinda shoddy and I know what I need to do to fix it but laying down for a few seconds undid all the damage I did to my back making the damn thing.
