Answer me this. How much attention would you give a guy that you aren't interested in as compared to a guy that you are interested in?

Your nice and/or quick dismissals that you mentioned in your post answers my question. If you're not interested in that guy, you probably wont continue conversing with him over drinks. When women do that, it makes many men think that the woman is interested in him, no matter what her Facebook status says. Some men are incapable of differentiating when a woman is being nice to him vs a woman actually liking him.

So, why would you think it would be any different with a homosexual?

Look, it's really not my problem that you don't quite understand differing social dynamics. Women often entertain conversations due to the fact that a significant enough number of men are crazy and will possibly harass them or even get violent and they'd like to prevent that.

I like this quote to sum it up. It's more a paraphrasing of Margaret Atwood, really:
"At core, men are afraid
women will laugh at them. At core, women are afraid men will kill
them."

You could, of course, Google the term and see why it's bullsh*t to devalue women based on the number of their sexual partners, but I don't really need to waste several paragraphs to explain something to a dimwit.

People ignorant on how the military works don't see how something as simple as repealing DADT affect other military procedures. Fortunately, the government handled it very well and made most of the necessary adjustments in procedures.

So you're cool with DADT repeal, outside of showers, now?

How is this hard to understand? I'm against the repeal for the reasons listed in post 206. What I'm saying is that the military reacted as best as they could, which is better than just saying "ok, it's repealed". There's no way to address every issue involved with the repeal while still having the repeal. Why you all continously focus on showers is beyond me.

Given that I'm finally in a deployed environment, I can now speak from experience and GAXE can correct me if I'm wrong. You have no clue how this fight is being fought. The Iraqis have effectively killed numerous U.S. service members, damaged and destroyed equipment and caused the government to literally spend millions in upgrading equipment. None of this happened with expensive equipment and "sheer numbers".

This is a cat and mouse game of tactics. They use frequency based IEDs, we block the frequencies. They start using pressure sensing IEDs, we put stuff out to trigger the pressures. None of that stuff is unaffordable or take a large number of people. It all comes down to understanding your enemy. Anyone will tell you, the best way to counter an IED is situational awareness. That's something that you can't buy and something that you can't have if a Soldier is stressed out because his wife just left him.

So, you can continue to believe that nonsense that a bunch of people with big guns will always win the war, I'm just glad that you're in no military leading position.

No, it's because unlike your insecure heterosexual ***, most people don't feel the need to flaunt their sexuality around.

I'm glad that you point that out, because I'm pretty sure that I've argued that point pages ago on this very own thread. I don't flaunt my sexuality around and you can't presume that DADT affects a person more than any other rule, i.e. shaving.

I understand why women do it just perfectly. My question is why you think it's not ok for a man to do the same?

Why can't a man just avoid the situation and not be called a bigot? Does it have to be some sort of threat involved? Are you saying that you're threatened by every male that encoutners you?

You missed the point. Everyone judges people by their sexual encounters. If you say that you don't, then you're probably a liar. The point is, why is it ok for someone to judge someone based on their sexual encounters, except if they're gay?

I find that hard to believe given the society that we live in. By society, I mean Earth. This goes across all cultures, years back.

I doubt that you would not think twice about your best friend/sibling/child if the person s/he loved and about to marry was a complete ***** that was with half the town.

I refuse to believe that you would view a sexually moderate woman the same way as a woman who the entire office/football team/etc. had sex with.

You wouldn't raise a brow at a 50 year old man wanting to legally marry your 17 year old daughter/sister/cousin/niece?

The list can go on, but I just don't buy it. I'm not going to call you a "liar", I will at least say that you are unaware of it.

That's right I suppose that NA was won with superior tactics not the fact that while the Euro's were using muskets and canon, the Natives were using spears, bow's and slings. It was absolutely the fact that the Euro's who had been trained specifically for gentlemanly wars fought in open fields that allowed them to win the Guerrilla War style that the natives employed.

I also Imagine it wasn't the ****'s Superior Armor and Air equipment that allowed them to capture Europe in a year, it wasn't the largest landing force in the history of man that led to the eventual demise of **** Europe. It was all the training that these people had employing never before used tactics such as the Blitzkreig of Operation Overload. It was all training not numbers and technological advantages.

I also was not aware that humans possessed the innate ability to disrupt radio frequencies. I would certainly love to be trained to do that without any equipment. It would be equally impressive if I could do the same to remotely detonate pressure based explosives.

If you think that the US is any better trained then say China, or the UK, or Canada, or Iran, or Iraq you are delusional. The most important training a military person receives is being taught how to take orders without questioning them. The rest is superior equipment and numbers.

Do you know why China is not a threat to the US? Its not because of the US's ability to train troops, its because they have a real ******* navy that will prevent the Chinese from employing its Militaries strength, 200 million ******* people.

It's absolutely none of my business. Some people just enjoy sex a whole lot. I just don't care, nor do I care if someone is a virgin. There are much bigger things in life to worry about, so I just don't get caught up in it.

Personally, I'd assume they were a paedophile too spineless to go for the really young girls. I'd probably stake them through the heart or crucify them upside down - whatever it is you do to stop them coming back again.

I'd have to bone up on my paedo lore first, of course. Don't want to go in unprepared.

Really? Pretty sure I'm still in Iraq... pretty sure.. Just because you believed that "everyone will be home before the holidays" nonsense, doesn't mean that I'm magically on my way back home.

Your home is Kuwait? Either way, you sound like one of my soldiers that went home early during the last deployment. He only got to Kuwait and broke his leg so badly that he was sent back home, and suddenly he had PTSD and issues with how people were always dying in his arms on a daily basis. Your "being in Iraq" doesn't give you any special insight on combat than what's reported on the news. Hell, even if you did the full tour you'd still have the combat insight of the Army Mailmen. Probably less. This would be my correcting you, like you suggested I do.
