Indiana cuts off Planned ParenthoodFollow

#252Almalieque, Posted: May 15 2011 at 8:42 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I was using legal procedures that technically don't have to be health related at all since it's not being funded by the government. Ironically, it works for abortion, but there must be a distinction when using other procedures, which is exactly what they were arguing against, unfair treatment based on personal opinions. Just because you see no value in liposuction, doesn't make it any more or less important than an abortion. I'm sure there are women who would rather have liposuction than an abortion.

Wow really? I didn't know typos and/or wrong spellings needed admittances on Internet forums, but if it makes you feel better to actually be "right" on something", yes, I misspelled a word. I apologize for misspelling a word.
Spelling phonetically is a sign of laziness, though. It doesn't take much to, y'know, look up what you're saying.

Almalieque wrote:
That's the exact argument that the military accepted, which I stated numerous times already. Besides, you conveniently left out liposuction.
So what if the military accepted it? PP isn't a military run program.

Liposuction isn't a medical procedure either, not really. Unless you're suggesting it's used for treatment of the morbidly obese? If it's in that regard, afaik stomach bands are more effective 'treatment'. So I stand by what I said before, cosmetic surgery has very little to do with medical health.

Do you think the GOP will stop with just abortion if PP caves to them? You can't see the GOP trying this again with another item they don't like PP doing? If every time the GOP tries this and they get PP to stop doing whatever they wanted them to stop, why wouldn't the GOP just do it for each item?

I stopped responding to him a while back and I feel much better. I like to talk at him, about him and around him. It's not hard to do. You can do it!

That's what I do as well. It sure took a concerted effort at first. They don't have a word harsh enough to describe how stupid this guy is. I really mean that. He's hopeless. And I'm not joking when I suggest that everyone ignore him until he gets bored and leaves. I'm so exhausted of him sh*tting up every single solitary thread here.

People need to stop letting him unwittingly troll them. Just leave the little fucker to his own warped, angry little virgin self.

One of my tabs is "dictionary.com", hence why I'm always referencing to "Dictionary.com". I'm not lazy, I'm just not perfect. I made a mistake, I misspelled a word. It's really not that big of a deal. Words are misspelled all the time, people only make deals out of it when they have no argument.

As I said, it doesn't have to be health related at all since the government isn't funding it. It might as well be a strip joint or a liquor store. You're making a distinction that isn't necessary, but complain when that same distinction is being made for abortion.

Lol... you're just saying that because you're promoting this campaign of ignoring me, instead people are ignoring your campaign. Do you really think that is going to happen? How many "The liberals are taking over/Obama sucks" threads from Varus will people continue to participate in before they stop engaging in them? It's the same routine. Find a news article, randomly select a text and tie it in on how the Obama administration and all liberals are ruining the world. You all spent two pages arguing that white people do indeed act out in public like black people. Seriously? Does ANYONE not believe that people of all ethnic backgrounds have acted out in public?

Yea, so you're selling yourself short on high hopes.

Varus is fun to argue with in a sense, as you never know how minor of an issue he's going to try and make a mountain out of. You though, you';re just damaged.

This reminds me. I talked to my wife, she has a Ph.D. in English, she said you were right in saying "charity is not the role of government."

My apologies.

I think he's Joph's sock. Or maybe Joph is Varus's sock. The same individual is probably Kao too....and Samira, cept she was cut back because she was too high-maintenance (it takes time to be infallibly right and witty).

In fact, every persona on this forum is probably a creation of the same person.

I'm not, but just sayin'

Not botox, no. That's just an injection.

From what I read, random people just get old rotten canned goods and inject the ignorant with the bloated can gas passing it off as botox injections. Same people also inject those same ignorant folk with construction grade silicon for their lip enhancements. I think it was on NBC or something.

At the risk of backing this up to a point where it was still semi-sane:

Majivo wrote:
If you're really concerned about the presence of the loophole, the proper avenue is to modify the law to remove said loophole.

*cough*

Isn't that exactly what Daniels is doing? He's changing the law so that the loophole which allows an organization to perform abortions in one part of the same building where they use government funds for other services can be closed. So if that's what you think the right course of action is, then why are people complaining?

Quote:
Attempting to strong-arm Planned Parenthood into giving up abortions, even though it acts completely within the law, is not the way to go.

Except this thread is about the state of Indiana doing exactly what you just said they should. Yet, not surprisingly, this is still met with a chorus of objections. Which makes one suspect that for some, it's not really about doing this the right way, or what the law says, but about picking a side for or against PP and sticking with that side no matter what.

Without worrying about other organizations doing the same, legal, thing and focusing only on this one issue.

So social engineering. At least we agree on that much.

Because that's not remotely what he's doing? What he did was defund Planned Parenthood. That is in no way similar to closing the "loophole".
#276Almalieque, Posted: May 17 2011 at 7:58 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I'm not a genius (feel free to quote that), but I think the point is that he is defunding PP by closing the loop hole. Either move the abortion section out of the building or lose funding.
