Yeah, it's incredibly difficult to believe you don't hate gay people, liberals, or women, considering the way you talk about each on this forum.

Why is that? Because I believe the bible when it tells me homosexuality is a sin?

I do despise liberalism and hold nothing but contempt for those who follow it's doctrine. As any freedom loving person does. Liberals use the Govn to steal from producers to support non-producers who just happen to be their constituents. That's wrong on so many levels.

As for women; I love them. Now with bull-***** like yourself it takes a bit more patience and prayer.

It's hilarious when you prove every thing I said right in your post where you try to defend yourself. Best troll ever.

Oh I believe those parts as well. Just not your embarrasing attempts at distorting there meaning.
"Having sex before being married" means something different to you?

Just so you know, there is no sin that weighs less than another in the eyes of God.

So Varus, do you have any quotes from Jesus supporting your stance against gay people and liberals?

Cause I'm waiting for you to respond to my many many verses which demonstrate Jesus was more interested in getting people to treat each other with respect than with getting them to follow outdated old testament laws.

Matthew 5:17. The birth of Jesus, as the eventual blood sacrifice for the sins of all Mankind, did not free man from the obligations under the Law. Rather, his birth & eventual death served as the final atonement for Man for his inevitable inability to live up to the Law's strictures.

EDIT: S'pose I should include the verse for the lazy:
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
Matthew 5:17

I dealt with that above.

You need to read the whole thing, which includes this line

Quote:
For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

And who were the pharasees, and what did Jesus think of their laws? See my many quotes above where Jesus "breaks" the laws of the pharasees.

And what is the law that surpasses the law of the Pharasees?

Love the lord your god with all your heart, your soul and your mind - love all of mankind as you would love yourself .

Not effectively if you believe the teaching obviated the law or the expectation of adherence to it.

I'm quite familiar with Christianity, its book and its teachings. I will not bore you with the details.

The inclusion of this line can only be due to a familiar misconception that mistakes love and acceptance of an individual with condoning the acts that separate that individual from God. Christ himself told sinners to go and sin no more. The love for and acceptance of a person in no way diminishes the sinfulness of their actions.

Corinthians 7:1-5 wrote:
Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

You know varus, there are a number of very persuasive arguments for why liberalism is a far more Christian-like affiliation than conservatism. I'd link some articles if I thought you'd actually read them.

Well, really, he rode in on a donkey to signify that He was not looking to be a temporal king. If He was going to Jerusalem to supplant the then-current gubbmint, he would have ridden a horse.
