True that. I've even named some of the guys who commended Obama by name. I was pointing out how the dipshits we have around here would rather throw fits and pout than show a modicum of class.

Going off this, also in the article I linked:
Quote:
Before a day had passed, the torture debate had flared. The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Representative Peter T. King, Republican of New York, told Fox News that the success of the hunt for Bin Laden was due to waterboarding. The next morning, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California and chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said just as flatly that “none of it came as a result of harsh interrogation practices.”

If you are going to blame obama for the economy, you have to give him credit for this.

I've no issue giving the military credit, the intelligence community credit and even giving Bush a measure of credit. Why would I?

The other day, I was listening to Michael Savage for a few minutes in the car and he said (paraphrased since I don't have a direct quote):
"I can give the president credit for this without agreeing with his policies. I think his policies are terrible and are Marxist policies. I think the president is a Marxist. But it looks as though a Marxist can be very, very good at killing evil men and I have to congratulate him for that."

It was pretty funny that friggin' lunatic Michael Savage could understand that you can praise one action without "losing" but people like Gbaji and Varus can't grasp this.

Don't forget Clinton, since that's when this really started.

I don't see how people can blame the president for what is wrong and not give him credit for what is right. Maybe you could explain it without your wicked original and clever burns (you can't top the pet rock one I bet).

Death photo will not be released:
Quote:
President Barack Obama has decided not to release a photo of Osama bin Laden's body as evidence of his death, an administration official briefed by the White House told CNN Wednesday.

The president was "never in favor" of releasing a photo, a senior Democratic official close to the White House said. The president noted that few credible people have questioned the death and that conspiracy theorists would not be satisfied with a photo, the official said.

Obama's position was supported by Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Democratic official said.

The president's inner circle was not happy with CIA Director Leon Panetta's remarks on the matter Tuesday, the Democratic official said.

Panetta said Tuesday that he believed a photo would be released at some point. "I just think it's important -- they know we have it, to release it," Panetta said.

White House spokesman Jay Carney noted Tuesday that there were "sensitivities here in terms of the appropriateness of releasing photographs of Osama bin Laden in the aftermath" of the killing.

House Speaker John Boehner, the top Republican in the House of Representatives, "supports the president's decision," Boehner's spokesman Michael Steel told CNN Wednesday.

Good on them. I agree - the doubters would still doubt, from the sound of it there's no much left of his upper head anyway, and it's the equivalent of putting his head on a spike outside of the White House gate. Serves only to inflame our enemies, doesn't stop doubters, and feeds into our already uncomfortably high love of gruesome death in this country.

There ya go. Can't acknowledge anything the president does right but whines about a decision and needs to lecture Obama about what "the mission" is. No wonder Gbaji loves her.

You're being pretty selective about your "usual suspects". Bush congratulated Obama. As did McCain. As has, as far as I know, every single major elected Republican. Are you suggesting that Pelosi and Obama doing the right thing is to be compared with the posters on random blogs not doing so? That seems like a bit of a stretch to me.

Hey, Gbaji, remember when Obama was elected and you acted all smug about how Republicans show "class and respect" towards the President? Hahahahahaha... that was great. Stay classy, Republicans!
