Hey all WoW players here on Shadow Council, I'm looking for your permission to grab the guild name "Lunatics" and bring it over to Kirin Tor (which has NEVER been down due to maintenance) and start it there. I currently have 3-4 Alliance toons on that server, all well into the 30th level, and I'm not willing to give them up. That said, none of them are in a guild, so I decided I'd like to make a Kirin Tor branch of the Lunatics, Asylum guild.
With your permission of course :)
Anyone who is thinking of making a toon on a different server, Kirin Tor doesn't seem at all prone to having to be taken down for special maintenance, it's RP, and a fairly nice environment. Lots of high end raids you can join also (though as you'd be starting @ 1, it'd be awhile before you could participate).
Think about it and anyone who wants to is welcome to join me on Kirin Tor on the Alliance side. I have a 31 Druid named Starmoon, a 26 Paladin named Ironrune, a 30 Warlock named Katheryn, and a 15 Hunter named Watch.

DSD I joined Shadow Council, and in one day got a Warrior up to level 14. Human. Named Honoran. Adley gave me a guild invite and I'm in your guild.
Problem is, I don't want to stop playing my other characters on Kirin Tor, and I don't want to have to restart everything I've done on Shadow Council. So I want to create Lunatics on a different server. No one has to move anywhere, but if anyone is looking for a different server to try out, I'm just saying Kirin Tor is a good one, and I COULD have a guild ready for them when/if they come.
Or, I could get rid of my, about, 60g combined on all my characters on Kirin Tor and just come over to y'all, start a new Paladin, Druid, Warlock and Hunter and "get over it". But I worked hard for what I have.
I'm not sure you'll be able to have the same name on the Alliance side, even on a different server.

Y'know I was just being respectful by asking. It's not like the name is copywritten. Just wanted some approval. I'm NOT asking ANYONE to start over on Kirin Tor. Just saying if you're new to WoW, or want to start an alt, Kirin Tor never has server shutdowns (knock on wood) and it's still RP.
Hell, I might even be generous enough to loan you 50s for startup. 50s is a good amount to get going on. Yes I've succumed to bribery.

In the end I'll probably just give up and move my characters over to Shadow Council...maybe...thought that damn server shut down thing seems to happen a lot there.

Let me get this straight. SC is a free server? If so, how do you sign up? I've been needing a long overdue break from FFXI.

That being said I am guessing most of us wont join you on kirin tor for the same reason you dont care to join us on SC. In the end We don't care because We dont know who you are.

No, SC is not a free server. You have to pay there, just like everywhere else.

Uh huh, right back at ya. All I said was that I believe Blizzard will not let you create another Alliance guild called <Lunatics>, even on a different server.
The reason I think this is that my Alliance guild on Laughing Skull tried several guild names, all of which were taken (but not by Alliance on LS). We finally settled on <Spite>, which went through. Lo and behold, guild members from <Spite>, a Horde guild on another server, dropped by our forum and posted, jokingly for the most part, that we were sullying their good name.
So. A guild branch on another server? No real objection here. I think you'll have to call it by a different name, though.

Part of "fitting in" is rolling with the punches. Nobody here is going to roll out a red carpet for you or anyone else.
If you expected as such, by far, not only did you not "fit in" but you are doing bad enough to probably find a better home in the sandbox.
