Man, I can not believe how ridiculously stupid the fans are in San Jose.

In related news, Edmonton kicked those fu[Darkgoldenrod][/Darkgoldenrod]cking bastards asses again. Smiley: grin

That's pretty poor form. It always bothers me when a group of fans do something like that en masse. Like when they cheer when a player gets injured. I've seen that a few times too.

HAHAHAAHAH. Where? Maybe in Montreal but that's not really Cana-duh. Smiley: wink2

I find it funny how probably 50% or more of San Jose's players are CANADIAN. Not to mention their best two players, Cheecho and Thorton.

what kind of athletic event takes place in a rink anyway? That dosn't sound nearly as inspiring as a field, or a stadium.

rink it is

CBS) A sport from the past just keeps rolling along.

CBS News Correspondent Lee Cowan reports that roller derby is back, as dizzy, and dizzying as ever.

There was a time, he notes, when roller derby ruled the rink, when fans stacked the stands, and cheered 'til their throats went raw.

maybe they used arena for the pro wrestling type roller derby leagues, where chicks would give each other flying elbows off of the rails?

who would have thought that one of bob's greatest sights would be found in a place called a rink.

I think it's pretty ridiculous to play hockey in any places where ice doesn't form naturally. I mean, when was the last time it snowed in San José?

Booing another country's national anthem at a sporting event really shows no class. What's even worse is that the best players on San Jose (Thornton, Cheechoo, Marleau) are Canadian.

It shows no class no matter who does it and where. Including Montreal and Vancouver. Hopefully our fans here in Edmonton will take the high road and not boo the US national anthem on Wednesday.

EDIT: Damn Thorntons

Of course there will be booing on Wednesday, because there are giant a-holes in Edmonton too. Just like there obviously are in San Jose.

Goose is a tool.

The rink is to an arena as the pitch is to a stadium.

Actually its called a hockey rink, you fuc[Darkcyan][/Darkcyan]king American at heart!

Smiley: oyvey the rink is the ice surface, the arena is the part where people sit. If you play outdoors, then it's just a rink with bleachers (if you're lucky).

Ignorant hick.

Stop talking about new arena's. I'm in Pittsburgh for God's sake. After using public money to fund a new stadium for the Steelers as well as our perennial losers, the Pirates, the city will not ante up a cent to save the Penguins. The only chance that the Pens have to stay here is if the city passes gambling within the city limits. IF that happens, then the Isle of Capri company(if they get the lone gambling license for Pittsburgh) has said they will match Mario Lemieux's money for a new arena.

So basically, goodbye Penguins Smiley: cry
