Would you just walk on by?Follow

The VIDEO (kinda long) shows a crew setting up a fake kidnapping in New York and how people responded or didnt respond at all. Its scarey. The whole time the little girl is screaming for help and people just watch.

I've seen that before, and yes, it's disturbing. Considering that I've walked up to a woman in a grocery store and told her off for bad parenting, you can bet that I'd at least be over there inquiring as to what exactly was going on.

I'm so wicked nosey that it wouldn't take anything nearly so drastic.

I'll have to watch it at home.

I remember the Today show talking about this, so I saw a little bit of the video. I honestly don't know what I'd do. Sometimes a parent trying to get a kid under control can look like an adult trying to abduct or abuse a child (any parent who's every tried to stop a tantrum before it starts in the grocery store knows what I mean.)

Maybe it's parental instinct, but if I didn't have my kids with me, I'd drop kick the ****. If I did have my kids with me, I'd have to call 911 on the cell. My kids' safety > your kids' safety, but your kids' safety > my personal safety.

Me and 2 others drove out to a secluded park one night to drnk a few beers and listen to a few tunes...

A station wagon pulled in alittle ways off.... and we heard the sounds of a woman pleading and crying... I joked that it was probably a kidnapped woman being raped and killed... i wasn't far off...

We walked closer to investigate and the sounds were unmistakable.. about 3 or 4 guys had this woman.. and were going to take turns raping her... As we approached.. me and my friend looked at each other... I asked him I we should grab large rocks or something and start bashing in heads.... but we decided that these folks my well be armed with guns.... but we still approached and hailed for them..

The were hostile at first..... but we played it cool..
They offered us some pot (which I took) and asked us if we wanted a "piece of this *****".. at which we respectfully declined.. and we got out of there and

Only pussays need ninja swords.

Here's an anecdote for you.

Back before I was married, I had this lady neighbour who was having a problem with a guy coming over intimidating her. She was a nice lady, not good looking or anything, but nice.

Anyway, I heard yelling and screaming going on and she had filled me in on the problem she was having with this ******. I walked next door, walked in and demanded the guy come outside immediately as I had a few words for him.

I then proceded to hand him his *** verbally and told him that if he ever bothered my neighbour again that he would be getting well aquainted with the sidewalk. Then I took a step as if I was going to hit him and he jumped like a foot off the ground.

It was fuc[Aliceblue][/Aliceblue]king comical.

He then left hastily, and I had my neighbour file a police report so that if he did come back and I were to kick his *** that it was all documented before hand that she was being harrassed.

He never did come back. Probably a good thing too, since I moved away a few months later. Smiley: lol

Turns out the woman was a junkie that these guys picked up from Baltimore's inner city.. they drove her all the way out to the country to rape her and most likely kill her and leave her in this park.

Later we had to sit in the station and write up reports....
Never heard anything of it.

Junkie or not.. no woman deserves that. It just sucks that we couldn;t have

Funny you should say that. I asked my wife why people tend to back down when I am angry as I had noticed a trend. Apparently I am rather intimidating IRL when I'm angry. Funny thing is, I've never really looked at myself that way, but I guess she's right. She's always right.

I was shopping at the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego when this little girl started yelling at this man who had her by the arm. Everyone kind of looked at him, but didn't say anything, assuming that it was a temper tantrum and the man was trying to get control of his daughter.

But then she yelled "You're a stranger! I don't know you!" And then all of a sudden the man just looked at the little girl and then looked up and around at this crowd of people (myself included) just surrounding him. People were whipping out their cell phones and the guy next to me yelled for one of those rent-a-cops. The stranger just beat feet, with a few people in hot pursuit and a woman just knelt by the little girl and waited until help came. It was pretty eerie and scary.

That stuck in my mind ever since then and since I've had kids, I've taught them that when someone tries to grab them and take off with them to fight back as hard as they can while yelling "Help me! He's a stranger! I don't know him!" I hope they never have to do that.
