Er, I always ban sockpuppet accounts when I find them, there are close to 1 million accounts on the site, a continuisly running autoban script would render the site unusable, and there are situations where there are valid reasons for someone to appear to be a sock, such as family members, siblings, or certain large scale shared AOL IP addresses.
I'm going to assume you chose option 1 for now. So hopefully we can spare you the emo fit.
