In all seriousness, unless you go to the VERY SMALL SOUTHERN TOWNS, there's not much scary about the south anymore. Except some of the accents. Oh, and Mississippi is still backwards, but no one lives there anyway.

Hah. West Point is not exactly "upstate". That's generally designated for the Adirondack area (as mentioned) and points north of Albany. I now live *very* upstate; pising distance to Canadia to be exact. If you find yourself that far up you could visit me - I live between Massena and Potsdam.
