I was discussing the plans for a LAN party I am having at my house in March, and a friend mentioned that they had 7 computers. He called one "the laptop" and another Mini something.
So, what do you call your box? Since I have always had the biggest and best computer in the house, and it's self built, I call it "Monster" which is ironic considering that has become my favorite energy drink!
My spare, or mini work computer I call "The 2nd" and each kid's computer is referred to as "Trey's box" or "Kai's"
I reiterate, WHAT DO YOU CALL YOUR BOX?

HOSS. It's big, homebuilt and it ain't pretty but it gets the job done.
Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Tweedledee is the box I built up, and my main gaming machine. Tweedledum is the box I liberated from work, and the one I use to peruse the boards and look up **** while I play.
Some people are like slinkies, they aren't really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I have the New Alien, the Old Alien, the Kids machine, and my laptop. Most often my Old Alien is referred to as the second comp that only gets turned on to look up sh[i][/i]it while playing games.

The offical name of my computer a la the Windows field that says "Computer name" is Malfean. In the old World of Darkness role-playing game Wraith: the Oblivion, a malfean was an ancient, massive, god-like spectre and servant of Oblivion.
In reality, it's "the computer". "The computer" isn't really massive nor a god-king though it is getting fairly ancient in computer terms. And I don't think it serves Oblivion but I'm not around to watch it 24/7.

I divested myself of all my excess PC property before moving so I no longer require such descriptive names as "The Intel box" and "The AMD box" and "The old box."

I tend to refer to my computer as my computer. But thats just me. XD

I have two machines, one named the Overmind Machine, because my roomate was having nightmares about it after we built it, and the other called the Source.
Mines named bob for some odd reason, must have been drinking when I set it up.
I just call it my PC in a normal converstaion, and Computer when talking to my 3 year old because nothing is cuter then a 3 year old saying computer.

Actually both of our computer's go by our first names. I haven't named the p3 that I've loaded linux on yet, as I am waiting for son-in-law to connect it to my network.
With his schedule, I may get my computer back from the repair shop long before he shows up. Of course first I need to have my kid pick up my computer and take into the shop for me.
I'm hoping for a discount since her bF does all the remodeling and repairs on the store and their house.
