That reminds me of how I started working on computers.
I must have been fourteen or fifteen. My dad had brought a computer home from IBM for the house. It was one of those big-*** PS/2s in the 3-foot, 50-lb cases. I found out how to open the side panel and take the cover off and was thrilled at the parts inside. Many of these parts could be removed! Amazing! So I took every part out that I could, broke it down to basic components. Then my dad walked in the room and saw me sitting on the floor with PC guts spread out on the floor around me.
To ward off him dropping dead of a stroke right there, I learned how to put a PC back together in working order in about 30 seconds. Ever since then I've been building my own computers.
