Well i went and auditioned for a few parts two weeks ago on monday and one of them came through. Community theater, some work experience at least.

The play that came through for me was "You Can't Take It With You". I landed the part of Paul Sycamore, a middle aged man who's daughter (one of the main charicters) falls in love with a man of a higher class family. Apparently my family is the crazy one, and my daughter is the only normal one out of us.

While not a main part it's a fairly large part, i appear in all three acts extensivly, i'desay it's one of the main supporting actor parts. I'm excited really, went and picked up my copy of the script an few hours ago. Time to start highlighting my lines and memorizing.

Apparently i sell fire crackers in this play ..... hmm... Anybody ever been to a production of this play before?

Well no sexual favors thank bob, the directors seemed somewhat older. As for time on the couch, a month or so. Been kinda slow around here, but then again i wasn't being to agressive in my search either.

I'll keep updating little things as i notice them, reading over itcarefully now, so my replys will be somewhat short and not very thoughtfull. Glad to finally have landed a decent part.

EDIT: There is a *character in the play named Gay, haha oh great.Every time i read it it just looks funny. Gay: blah blah blash. Glad i didn't get that part. Starting Act II.

y lines seem to be spaced out alot and i wander in and off stage a whole bunch. This is gonna be a tricky play to do, i'll have to pay attention alot.

It's spelled character. That distracted me from the material meaning of your posts.

I am one of the worst spellers ever. I'll go back and change it if it bothers you so much. Apparently my errors are worse than a stick in the ***.

I'm not sure about the context, but your willingness to roll over at the least provocation is amusing. You should try sliding that into the play.

I don't mind fixing something as small as a spelling error. The part i got isn't really all that large, i feel somewhat dissapointed but not much so. I think alot of the second act i mainly sit around ad react to people, thefirst act i have alot of lines and mainly alot of things to do.

The second act is really funny, we all get arrested in the end of it but i mainly sit around, it's a somewhat of a family party, for two families. Hmmm, second act is nice, but now on the the third act.

Took that lesson to heart a long time ago. I won't complain to much about this character. The second act just seems like a slow one for my character. Started the third act and it's looking better for my character...... not done yet though.

Not to bad overall. Havn't counted my lines out but how many i have isn't all that important i suppose. I'm supprised i even made it into a play this.... complex. This is a pretty complicated little play to be putting on, it'll require about 6 pages worth of props. And the set is also pretty damn large and elaborate.

Just to be a part of this is pretty good not much to say other than im hungry, i need to go get some food.

Mr. De Pinna? That would have been a fun part to play as well. Would have preferred that character but Paul is just as good. De Pinna has alot of funny little lines in there, but he seems so oblivious to everything, that or overly modest.

So Angsty, your an actor or you just did a little on the side for fun? Just out of curiosity. This play seems like it'll be good, i know a few of the other actors, and my girlfriend seemed to have landed the part of Mrs. Sycamore. Odd little twist of fate hm? Though she only does plays occasionally. Her part in the play is much larger than mine.... /butthurt.

Aye, i planned to have Paul built somewhat on the same principles, airheaded, somewhat lost in his own world. Untill act three where he gets some common sense and starts caring again.

Figure i might make my own costume this time around. I want to give him to old clock-maker look. But alot more messy and dirty, kinda like to confussed and senile type. I might have to steal the idea of loosing some fingers, and i needed a haircut anyhow, i may have a botch hairjob.... spots missing and bald and what-not. It's not long now, wish it was longer so i could do more with it.

Used to be to my shoulders.. bah.... hmm... you sent in motion a small army of idea's. for now i have to focus on lines though.... Production's start early april maybe.

Girlfriend called me today and was prett excited, she had tried out for a few plays too, and she happned to land my wife as a role in this play. Talk about some goofy luck. Good excuse to spend time together though.
