Bush's polls don't matter, the democrats suck so much that America will still be stuck with some Right Wing fucktard from The south after the 2008 elections.

It's been said best elsewhere: When the last three candidates put forth by the parties were Bush, Gore, and Kerry, it is a sign we have fallen on sad times.

Hehehe.. there was a poll a week or so back that got some press time that Bush would lose the election if it was held today. I thought it was a silly, meaningless story since the election WASN'T held today so it's a rather worthless point. I'll leave it to someone else to expound on the evils of the liberal media for reporting it.

Anyway, I was in the airport on Friday in the book/magazine shop and there's a light-up news crawl along the ceiling border sponsored by FOX (given the continual FOX logos crawling across). Their take on it: A poll of Republican voters shows that a full 94% would still have voted for Dubya... only 6% would change their vote... (yes, they said "Dubya"). My immediate bit of mental math was that since the vote was split 48/50 (to use round numbers) and 6% of 50 is 3%, it STILL would have made the outcome 51/47 in Kerry's favor or, at worst, 48/47/5 if no Republicans changed to Kerry and they all voted for Nader or whoever instead.

Again, worthless information since it doesn't show where the votes would have changed, if the electoral balance would have changed, etc but I thought it was a funny spin FOX tried to put on it.

I don't see how polls about Bush matter very much at this point especially considering that he isn't eligble for re-election. Especially if whoever his potential successor is is more liked by the public.

I really wish you would link your stories you f'ucking hateful bigot.

I know enough to know that any survey/poll company that puts out a poll for the media (example Ipsos Reid with the Associated Press) tend to know exactly how many people they speak to. They record male/female right off the bat. They have quotas set up for male/female also quotas for regions of the country. They then have statistical questions at the end. How old are you, how much do you make etc.

That way at the end they can break it down even further for the client. Males 18-24 said this where as Males 35-44 said "x". People in this state approve more than people in this state.

Hell the companies even keep track of the calling information for their own purposes. We had so many refusals, so many quit survers, so many completes etc. Everything is recorded and put down.

For a poll to come out and not have number of people spoken to or other information available reaks of poor form and questionability. Of course its not linked and I'm not going to track down the story so whatever. It's a shame the ardent crusader agaist the 'moral majority' is to f'ucking stupid to figure out to put a link up.
