What did Mel do?

Lemme guess, another Passion-hater because it's not realistic enough or maybe because it's too realistic?

Without turning this into another Passion of the Christ discussion, there's no fucking way in hell you know how it took place.

There, let's stop here or I fear the Christian/Atheists will be moving in for the kill.

Why do I suddenly picture Rob Lowe in Waynes World?

And hey I like those pants. I use them to pick up chicks.
"Hey baby. Wanna sniff my pants? They smell like sausages."

(sorry for going off-topic)

Then, let me ask Qaoz, what was your opinion of the movie?

Oh boy, here we go.

I liked the movie a lot. I've read that part of the Bible, God knows how many times.

It might not be realistic, might not be 100% true to the words of the Bible, but to catch the audience, and it sure did, you have to make it more dramatic, more action filled and loaded with scenes where your eyes run blurry. Mel did an excellent job making such a movie, I myself had to wipe away a tear as the movie came to an end.

Now, many have read the Bible, many believe that every single word in it is true to the letter, but I don't think so. The Bible is filled with inaccuracies, metaphors and symbols. Maybe the movie was too gore-loaded, but I think it just added a realistic touch that made the pain seem so alive. I almost twisted in agony as the whip pulled out fleshy pieces of his back.

It is a movie after all, and as such it should not be seen as the precise story of Jesus' death.

If you've seen Spartacus with Kirk Douglas and The Ten Commandments and Ben-Hur with Charlton Heston, you'll know that biblical stories often are told in a more action touched version to catch the audience.

So, in short, I liked the Passion of the Christ, but I didn't watch because I'm a Christian, I watched it because the story touched me like the stories in other movies touch me.

In 2005 Qaoz will be rated down so low that his rating will actually go into negative numbers.

This will only last for one day though as his sock puppets will bring him back up to scholar in a matter of hours.

Well, I myself go a little crazy when you post stuff like that without some arguments.

What makes that post so horrible?

Looks like 2005 is a busy busy year. I better get my boots ready!

edit: that post is terrible because it assumes more than a lot of things and takes an obviously biased standpoint.

If you're going to be subjective, be subversive as well. :P
