In terms of "ways to die" would beheading be considered humane? Is there pain involved?
It wouldn't be terribly painful. You'd have maybe 30 seconds of pain. It'd be preferable to lots of other ways of dying in my oppinion.

That's what I was thinking. Firing squad probably sucks worse. Hanging, electric chair, or being shot in the gut. Seriously though how can there be that much pain if the head is no longer attached to the body?

Humane is a ******** term. If you know that you are going to die, the method in which death comes has no bearing.
E.G. You are sentenced to death and you have the option of being beheaded with a blindfold on or being given a lethal injection while you are strapped to a bed.
The beheading is considered inhumane, but would you want to watch helplessly as someone sticks a needle into your skin, knowing that you are going to die in a couple minutes?
I wouldnt. I would be flailing around like a ************* until they knocked me out with a billy club. Only then could they stick me with that needle.

After seeing that, I really feel bad for the guy. It was easier to detach without seeing.
The videos of the last two are much worse, the Daniel Pearl one had the most impact on me, but then again it was the first, so it is bound to have.

Tell that to Pat Tillman's family. How his death is less signifigant than someone who's behaded because one's on video and one isn't. If you can't see the inherant wrongness of that, you disgust me.

I'm not comparing Signifigance, Every death is equally signifigant in the war on terror. What I am saying is that it's far more horrid and far more gruesome and far more invoking and inciteful. There are also a few key differences to take into account. First, Pat was a *soldier* Not a civilian. And Paul wasn't only a civilian, but he wasnt some opportunist but had lived in the ME for 10years. So yes, there is a difference.
