Very true. I was at the Pens/Flyers playoff game a few years ago that went into quintuple (yes, that's 5) OT. Now THAT was a good season. I think they actually got better by ditching that little crybaby ***** Jagr, but doomed themselves by letting Mario play again. It seemed to me that his comeback was the catalyst to their downfall.
There's a lot to be said about teams that are "rebuilding", despite how easy it is to laugh when teams say that. Not long ago, people would laugh at the idea of teams like Tampa Bay or even Anaheim getting into the playoffs - let alone to the finals - because they were rebuilding.
I think the Pens' time is coming, and the Flyers' time has past. The only constant in the NHL seems to be my Leafs always finishing top-5 in the conference, always beating the **** out of Ottawa, and always folding before the finals. Such is life. Go Leafs.
