trunks, you are the worst post count buffer I've seen in a good long while. The only person better was Invisible, when he posted on the Lasttm thread.

Keep it up though. Once you get 4 stars, you get free premium membership for life!

Think he bought it?

Heh, too true, most **** with the word "LESBIANS!!!" on it anywhere is targetted for straight men.

Most lesbians I've been acquainted with are not what I'd call "out," so maybe I'm missing a huge swath of lesbian culture here. At least a few had been previously married and had kids before they decided men were not the way to go.

I don't hang out with them on a regular basis because I live about 50 miles away now, but my instinct tells me you'd not find any of my lesbian friends "all over" each other in public, nor would I term them anything like "sluts." They are largely reserved, friendly (not rabid man-haters) and professional (in that they have college degrees and work in their field). At least one in my recollection was reluctant to admit she was a lesbian when I met her because she was afraid I'd hate her for it. :(

My experience with bisexuals is a bit more expansive, and in general they were a very overt lot. "Hi, my name's Jane, and I'm bisexual. Ever been done by a girl? No? You should try it, it's very liberating! Most people are really bisexual, did you know that? Did I mention I'm bisexual?"

All with the appropriate visual props, of course, if anyone was available to perpetrate them on. Unfortunately for her I'd no sooner make out with a girl I just met than a guy I just met, so I guess that makes me prude. Or secretly bisexual. Not sure which.

I worked in the restaurant business for several years, so I met a few gays and lesbians. I have to agree with what's already been said: most of the gay men were sluts and the lesbians were more into relationships. One lesbian couple I know did the mock marriage thing and the younger of the couple got artificially inseminated so they could start their little family.

On another note, I love hanging out with gay guys. I was kind of a *** hag for a while.

Now I'm just a hag

Most men are not 'nurturing' by nature. As a result, they don't quite know how to maintain relationships usually - even with women - but, when you add in that they are attracted to a man, they are even more baffled. They tend to go for one night stands and they tend to hate themselves for being gay (society does NOT sanction it, or understand it) so they also tend to do a lot of alcohol and drugs to bolster themselves for that sort of thing. It is an unstable way to live. :(

And, as someone earlier pointed out, in a less delicate way than I would have, all men are sluts. (Actually, I don't think 'all' is true, but 'many' are.) Raging hormones during adolescence stimulate constant thoughts about sex for most guys.

Most women, by nature, have a nurturing instinct. Two women together tend to nurture each other. Hence they often can maintain more stable relationships. And, to be honest, society is much less critical of women who like women. Maybe because they are quieter and more 'relationship' oriented for the most part (with the exception of in places where the more liberal gay community is quite outspoken.)

Hormonal changes in women don't stimulate the same level of sexual drives, they primarily just make a girl interested in the opposite sex. Girls usually have sexual urges (at young ages at least) only when they are 'attracted' to a particular young man, especially if he treats them right. Even then, girls are not subject to obvious signs of sexual arousal, and many don't know what that feels like even. They understand 'attraction' only.

(An aside: In later years, though most guys don't understand this even then, what is sexy to a woman is usually not the flowers and expensive gifts, it is the little things like saying I love you and taking out the trash without being asked.)

Ahh, ********* There's a reason that guys that look like Johnny Depp get more *** than guys who look like Louie Anderson regardless if they're ******** or not. Girls get wet for guys that they're physically atrracted to, period. This whole "it's not all about the physical thing for women" **** is largely a myth. I've never ended up sleeping with a woman who wasn't physically attracted to me but was aroused latter because of my sparkling personality.

Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I live in San Francisco. I know a lot of gay people.

Basically if two lesbians aren't signing a lease to move in together, it was a bad first date. Before she gets to that point a newly "out" lesbian will probably sleep around some, though. They're kinda like *people* that way, go figure.

As for gay men, well, I know a lot of sluts. However I also know several couples who have been together for decades. Faithfully? How the hell would I know? But if not then they've worked it out like any married couple would.

All ya gotta do to understand the different sexual mores of men and women is watch a few National Geographic specials about animals.

Its all about passing your genes on to the next generation. Even if you don't plan on doing so, THAT is the fundamental drive behind sex.

Males insure that their genes are passed on by banging everything in sight. By spreading it around as much as possible, the male increases the chances of his genes surviving.

Females can't do it that way, so they try to insure their genetic survival by selecting a mate that has demonstrated survival skills, and hope that those genes help her offspring survive as well.

So even in a homosexual relationship (or lack thereof) these traits are still very pronounced despite the impossibility of direct progeny. Men spread it around, women are more selective.
