I'm here, keeping the world safe for terrorists. The !@#$%^& previous shift watch officer slacked off and didn't write any of the pending intel dispatches, so I'm kinda screwed at the moment until I get caught up.

Good to know, Kao. I was almost tempted to watch an entertainment "news" show until you came along.

Argh!

So, what should I do? I have had a coffee, ate a cereal bar and a yogurt...what now?

Oh heavens no. Worried about cross-welding. One should never upset the delicate balance of unwelded pairs.

I got demoted from my welding job. I am not competant enought with a stick welder to do vertical joints.

/mourn

I will always regret that I didn't get sucked in to a career where I have to breath in toxic fumes all day long.

My friend Dan got weld burn on his eyes once. It was sick. His eyes were crusted over with yellow goo for a week or more. Gross.

In other news, I almost cut my thumb off this morning making my lunch. Yay!

That happened a few weeks ago, except they actually did cut their thumb off; and it was someone else's lunch.

I have never almost cut my thumb off, but back in Jr. High I set my pants on fire while arc-welding. It was an interesting experience, which answerd the question "How fast can you take your pants off?"

(A record I later bested the first time a girl replied "yes".)

When I used to tend bar, I would periodically cut the tip of my thumb off while cutting fruit. It wasn't pretty.

Oh, trust me, it doesn't. I love having a job where strip clubs are the venue for vendor presentations.

/random_hardware_vendor01 tells you "Buy my product, the ******* compels you!"
/random_hardware_vendor01 tells you "Buy my product, the liquor compels you!"

What kind of job is this and where do I sign up?

Also, its true, I haven't gotten drunk in a good week and a half.

/lament for Jack.

Did have a beer with the parents last night, but supervised drinking doesn't count.
