Hello all,
Does anyone know, or is anyone reading this an EQ player in a wheelchair IRL? I'm working on a study at the University of Surrey in the UK exploring some of the social implications of playing MMRPGs and one of my areas is what different populations get out of online interactions. I'm finding out lots of really cool stuff, particularly about the thousands of different types of people who play, and how everyone brings something unique to the worlds they play in.

Right now I'm hoping to have some informal talks. Any contact is totally anonymous and totally at the respondent's discretion. Please contact me if you're interested.
Thanks,
Aleks

Mren's busy writing self-mastabatory fiction about him chasing down Catholic Mormons with his shotgun.

You might learn things from him, but I'm not sure if they'd be "really cool" Smiley: grin

Catholic Mormons? I thought they were two entirely different sects of crazy people.

I think the random hyjacking of thier threads is the best form of defence against them.

The world hunger situation would be considerably eased by the release of excess food stocks held in the US and EU and the tigher regulations on birth control in third world countries.

However to effectively achive this the same third world countries have to regain political stability and i feel that the fledgling South African govenment may given time be the rolemodel for future African politics, allowing the G7 to help the third world help themselves.

In the words of Sam Kinison, "We have deserts, too. We just don't live in em... Move to where the food is! Oh Oooooh!"

Birth control in 3rd world countries can be easily accomplished. The ones that live get to have kids. The one's that don't, well, let's just say that they won't be adding to the population glut any time soon.

It's all supply and demand. If their current supply of food isn't adequate for the demand from the population, the demand will eventually decrease until equilibrium is reached. End of problem.

think one day we will see advertisements asking volunteers to sit in a glass room and play EQ under different conditions for $20 a week? or has it already happened? I'm sure the japanese have some sort of game show like this...one that some big american network will make fun of, create a "better" version with a big hollywood budget and every other network will then create a spin-off of until everyone is sick of it.
