Sorry Leap but you are the first person i have seen get a new one ripped by Katie and deserve it. You are rapidly becoming the Board Moron.

Thank you Katie, the fact that you did it made it all the sweeter and i will never be nasty to you again.

Leap if you ever develop a brain please post the fact so we can celebrate for you.

Nice Post Mren i have a rather different method for dealing with people phoning me asking for stuff or trying to sell me triple glazing.

Annoying telesales: Hi, i am from Rip off glazing inc. Today i am able to sell you Double Glazing at only 50% more than what you paid that legit company 3 months ago.

Me: Really please continue.

Half way through the sales pitch i have a convienient Knock on the door.

Me: Oh sorry someone is at the door can you hold? I am really interested </em Snickers>

Annoying Telesales: Sure

I then put the phone down and carry on with what ever the interrupted. I wait 5 mins

Me: Hi you still with me?

Annoying Telesales: Yes.

Me: good this will not take a second. <puts phone down and ignores for 5 mins before putting phone back on hook>

Works for me, strangely i don't get many Telesales, guess word gets around.

Actually I thought it was funnier the first time Mrens.

For those that don't know, I'm mormon (LDS). And knowing about Mrens' run-ins with mormons in Idaho, I figured this would be a funny story.

Of course, I noticed right off it was fiction (no one called Father in the LDS church, and a few other inconsistancies) but still wacky enough for some chuckles.

As for the whole Christian/non-Christian thing, /shrug. I don't give a care if someone labels me as a Christian. Heaven knows there's enough debate (and apparent non-christian feelings) about the whole subject. Interesting read here about the subject (and I'm sure there are tons more out there):

http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_defn.htm

But really, as someone who believes in Christ as a Messiah, what does it matter if someone else says I'm not a Christian. I live my life the best I can according to the principles taught to Jesus' followers in the New Testament, and accept him as my personal savior. There's only one Person in the whole universe that I care thinks I'm a Christian.

Just on an aside, you should consider changing your name to Paladjiin. Then you could come out of a bottle, lay on hands, and talk like Robin Williams all day...

There certainly have been some church dances that I would qualify as "Bad Trips"!

Heh, I noticed that myself. "Father" is typically a Catholic title. I've no idea if the mormons use the term priest or not, but most Protestant faiths use "pastor", "minister" or some other like term.

Actually, raised Catholic, I'd be the first to admit that Catholicism is usually considered a seperate entity from the rest of Christianity (where as most people would consider both a Lutheran and a Methodist or Baptist "Christian" without pause). And largely for the same reasons; extra-Bibical scripture (i.e. the Apocrypha), the Papal office, etc. The main sticking point there is that your "mainstream" garden varity Christian faiths are derived from Catholicism anyway. I've got not problem with my beams, thank you very much Smiley: wink
