At my job a few of us have compiled a ****** list. There are a few ways to land on it, but all the candidates share one quality. Namely, that it is pointless to argue, or get angry at this person because thay are either incapable or unwilling to listen to any reason whatsoever. You are wasting your breath, they aren't listening or understanding.

For example, sometimes an order goes out wrong to the table, and I need to get something fast from the kitchen. So I gotta ask the guy at the block for something on the fly. Regardless of what is wrong or whose fault it is, this food must go out to complete the order, yet this guy will ***** and argue about it everytime. So I gotta waste valuable time arguing with this jackass who knows he's gonna hafta do it anyway.

We have come to agree that it is pointless to argue. Dude's landed straight on the ****** list.

My question to you is, who on this board or in your life is on your ****** list? My posting here is sparce, but there are already a few people who I will not argue with, it is pointless.

Ahh isint that cute, even people working as a ******* waiter has to look down on people.

I will think of trying to create a false sense of superiority for yourself the next time I make the ******** at Taco Bell remake my burrito.

Seriously though, if you are working as a waiter you have pretty much reached to bottom of the barell for yourself, so why the hell would you go to a message board and brag "Im a ******* ****** who can't manage the simplest task of bringing food to people who are better then me, but at least im not the dumbest piece of **** who shares this ******** of an existance with me"

so wouldn't that just make them an unreasonable idiot? There are people here whom I suspect have family members affected by downs syndrom or similar such conditions. so you migth want to stay away from that one. Just a thought.

maybe this makes me a ******, but i have no clue why you guys are slamming him. okay, well, mren is a ******, so i guess that makes sense that he may be a bit miffed, but what the hell is with everyone else attacking him?

there is nothing wrong with being a waiter. obviously as a full time job it isnt spectacular, but its much more reasonable to expect that its a part time job he has while going to a school of some sort. seeing as you are still completing college im inclined to believe that you have a similarly crappy job, or none at all. even in the best case scenario (CEO of walmart or something) you would be no better a person than him. in my opinion even if that were the case you would be a worse person. i find it dispicable that you think you are better than someone based only on what job they hold.

yeah, i think we can put mren on both the physical and mental ****** list.

Oh Mrens, how utterly delightful.

You've earned yourself a Katielynn Star !

One's station in life doesn't add to or lessen the ability to look down at people, which you've so clearly shown.

I don't have a ****** list anymore, here or at work, but I do have an "Assh*les I'd like to meet in a dark alley with a rusty spoon and masking tape" list. And it's not here.

Just sayin'.

ok...so you all can pretty much tell someone they are a worthless piece of crap for believing this or that, but then ream on someone when they ask who you think is a ****** (of which I saw NO direct correlation to the subject of handicapped meaning they probably used the word as one of the millions of slang terminologies we incorporate daily into the english language)...this aside from the fact they DEFINED what they meant by their obvious slang usage of the word ******.

talk about superiority complexes...get over yourselves people. Are you any better telling someone they are worthless for being a waiter on a gaming messageboard?

Major motion picture studio execs who come back from their cocaine and martini lunch to ***** about their computers. '******' is not a fair word to use, but 'irrational' and 'unreasonable' would work.

Empyre

I think you'll find that Mrens is the only person here that slated Meadros for being a waiter.

I would expect the point of my post to fly right over the Hippo's head. I would have expected more from you.

But then what do i know, live and learn i guess

Kind of funny how sensitive people get when you use a "politically incorrect" word like ******.

I'm not thin skinned, you can bash me for my job but it doesn't bother me. I am not in college, I have most of a degree, dropped out to go into the coding business but chose to leave the field. I have always enjoyed working in restaurants. It is honest work which has allowed me to travel freely. I pay all of my own bills. I live my life exactly like I want to and I will make no apologies for it.

In my ongoing (perhaps failing) attempt to be a reasonable person I will apologize not for pointing out that there are idiots swarming all over the country but for offending anyone who has issues with the connotation of the word ******. If fuctard or asshat better?

I know that every one of you knows at least one person for which you have given up on getting through to. Someone who makes you upset until you realize there is no point, you are wzsting your energy. I used to work in child support , there were a few of them there, such as the woman who ran our bodyshop but had no idea what she was doing. She was happy to have her hand in everything but too inept to do her own job. She would put off huge proposals until the last minute, then run around freaking everyone out, disrupting our work in a frantic attempt to do her homework on the bus. So I don't think idiots are bound to working class jobs. This woman was a millionaire and clueless.

Just looking for horror stories I guess.

Yes much :)

Now I know lots of those

Me... (umm..sometimes)

But mostly, I've come to the conclusion that they always get found out, eventually -- just soemtimes it can take an awfully long time and can be hugely frustrating to deal with at the time.

I waited tables and tended bar for about 15 years. Not a bad gig at times. Flexible hours, work as much or as little as you want, money can be decent, depending on where you are. I had a blast doing it and met lots of fun people. I finally just got burned out on it. Also decided as I got into my 30's that this wasn't something I wanted to be doing when I was 50.

As for my "******" list (or asshat, what ever) right now I'm about the only person I can't get through to.

Honestly, I can't really think of anybody on the board that is really truly stupid. I suspect there are only a few people on the board whose IQ dips below 90.

So, I'm not going to play that game.

I will, however, play the 'Genius list' game, because really, that is more likely to be controversial.

Who would be on your list?

Geniuses...hmmm.

Douglas Adams

Johnny Cash

This guy that lives in my town. He is a freaking genius, but because of a car accident that damn near killed him, he has Tourette's Disorder now. Makes for some interesting conversations.
