Trying to find a song with almost no clues.Follow

Last summer I heard a song while driving home from Brooklyn, it really caught my ear, and I've been trying to track it down ever since.

The problem is that I have a mind like a steel sieve, and have forgotten the name of the band and the name of the song. I don't even know what radio station it was - but it wasn't one I'd typically listen to - that is to say, it wasn't a sports talk station, or a classic rock station. If I recall the station played new (to me) alternative/rock type stuff.

So your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to help this old man find this song.

The entire thing runs around a jangly piano chord progression, and the only lyrics I remember were..

"Every last soul has to pay the last toll."

Any ideas?

Oh yeah, the song is currently being used as the background music for a shampoo ad on TV. I'll update with the brand if I see it again, or if that particular synapse manages to fire.

Wow that was quicker than going to the music store and humming it, for the employees to sneer at you and then to tell you the song!!

LOL! Very true. Just goes to show ya... with 300,000+ registered members, you can probably find out just about anything here. Of course, you might get a lot of erroneous information before you get to what you need.

In this case, dock was right on the money. Picked up the CD today.

Thanks again
