Calling out ThundraFollow

#1 Feb 20 2004 at 2:50 PM Rating: Default
Which one of you figured out Thundra's password?

1. It's not like Thundra to come back after that farewell metaphor

2. It's not like Thundra to admit I'm funny, unless saying it in an insulting way

3. It's not like Thundra to leave the same signature and avatar up after such a long break.

4. Thundra wouldn't ask for her Tiara, Queens wear Crowns.

5. Thundra wouldn't like to be the Yang, simply because it's after Yin.

There are other reasons, but, long story short, I'm calling *********

I don't know about the rest, but I've been around long enough to hear many farewell speeches and you're just wrong about number 1. It's not odd for Thundra or anyone else on this board to come back after saying they would not be.

Edit: monkey took over my computer. I've killed him now.

Ok then, it's not like Thundra to come back so soon after a farewell metaphor like that.

Better?

It didn't actually say it was leaving, but implied it through the use of a mixed metaphor and the bastardization of a Robert Frost quote.

Stolen password? No way. That's classic Thundra.

And I, for one, say 'welcome back!'. The last picture posted on the board was of a friggin' cat!

Don't get mad at me for that, Kao. It's just that I can't get off on a *cat*...

Still on it, Tarv. =) Just checking in since I can't sleep. Glad to see nothing has changed. Taco is still an asshat, Katie is still a ho, and Thundra is apparently still messing with everyone.

There's no place like home. =p

I meant to post in your going-on-a-trip thread, but I saw something shiny.

Hope you're doing ok. Sometimes a change of scenery is the best thing for us.

Lest you forget Skeeter, it's precisely like Thundra to do things that are not like Thundra. The only facet of my personality which remains constant is my tendency to shed skins like a sunburnt leper.

So, how long are you going to be in your "nice" phase before unsheathing your fangs and making an attempt to usurp the Crown?

Something smells fishy around here, and it isn't your lack of personal hygiene this time.

Que pasa?

I've no intention of commandeering your crown, your highness.

Why?

-I'm not sufficiently confident that I am capable of usurping your crown should I make an attempt. It would be terribly embarassing for me to try and then fail.

-If I were to attempt to dethrone you, it would probably be with a rhetorical hammer to the jaw. However, although I've never tried that sort of attack on you, my gut tells me it would be fairly unproductive. You would probably just respond with an absurd one-sentence quip and make me look silly.

-You are certainly one of the funniest people on the board.

-I don't really have the time or energy at the moment to engage in a drawn out war of reputational attrition.

-I think I would like to regain a little bit of the board's respect... for now. So that I can lose it again sometime in the future- that's the most fun one can have on a board like this.

I stole it from another message board and then personalized it a little bit. Most people would say that by 'personalizing' it I succeeded only in cheapening it. To those people I would say, "Fuck you, homos."

At the risk of earning the ire of every Thundra hater on this board-- and you know who you are --I just have to say I am in love with your dexterous ability to turn a phrase, T. No, really. You have a lyrical style which wholly eclipses my own pedantic and lumbering word smithing.

Kudos to you! And if I can, I'd sincerely like to meet you and Smash down in LA if at all possible.

I reciprocate the sentiment. I think it'd be a blast in a totally non-romantic and non-homolicious way to meet the two of you.

But I'll bring some rubbers just in case.

No, seriously, I would like to meet you both. But I must insist on one condition... both of you must return to the boards with wildly differing accounts of the events that transpired during our soiree, and dramatically contradictory descriptions of yours truly.

And no cameras, fuckers.

I promised myself I wouldn't cry...

In total seriousness, I feel almost exactly the same way. I feel my prose is, by comparison, rigid and utilitarian; my writing feels like it's pieced together in a factory, while your own style is vivid and alive, the rhetorical equivalent of a cartoon- you make the mundane colorful. And somehow, you manage to do all of that despite the fact that deep down, I think you're pretty much an as
shole. Bravo!

On a related note, I'd like to suggest that we enter into an agreement to refrain from exchanging praise. At least until I can make another diaper run. The above CJ resulted in a mudslide of a magnitude so great that it's unheard of outside the Amazon.

I'll be the first to say it... The ***** is back!

And skeeter don't get too comfy with that crown, the forum ***** (katie) not thundra only needs to perform some outrageously good oral sex here in the forum to swipe that crown from your noggin. Or Angua just needs to wink shyly at me to be the queen she truly deserves to be.

Totem you of all people would actually side with this twit of nonsensical borish drivel to pass it off as a potential ally? Where are your wits man?
#25 Feb 24 2004 at 12:02 AM Rating: Good
Awww, hearts and flowers. F'uckers. This CJ'ing isn't why I frequent the boards. One of you two needs to pull the gauntlet out and fight before our puke crests our hip waders.

[sm]In case Skeeter wins, though, and you (thundra) disapear forever in embarassment..post that angua pic first, K? [sm]
