Wow...this is truly /jack on.

Writer's Block has turned into Skeeter's C*ck.

And there was much rejoicing and dancing in the streets.

No, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

You're trying to give a grown man some Gerber's, it's just not cutting it anymore. Don't patronize me dawg, I've got a fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell.

Ooooo, harsh words, Skeet. Damn, can't any of you take a joke? You people need some time to blow off steam. Go out and have a beer this weekend. Maybe hit something. Get all that negative energy out.

And by the way, I am NOT second rate. Maybe fourth rate, or even fifth rate. bLaHaHaHaHa

Lol, hey, you probably already know this, but you just contradicted yourself.

"Harsh words, Skeet"

Then

"I am NOT second rate. Maybe fourth rate, or even fifth rate."

If you consider yourself fourth or even fifth rate, then wouldn't me calling you a second rate poster be a compliment instead of harsh words?

Just sayin'.

Yes, I saw that it was a joke, but even those who speak against the Queen in Jest must be dealt with accordingly, don't you think?

/ignores Skeet's CJ harem.

Tare,

Another suggestion, along the lines of Thundra's.

Any funny or meaningful conversation, a description of something beautiful or ugly you've seen, a wordless interaction between two people, dreams you've had, anything. Write it down. Record it. I keep stuff like that in an "image file" and when I'm stuck, I'll read through it.

At the very least, I get a smile or a chuckle out of it.

Usually I end up writing a separate short, or sometimes it gets assimilated into the "big one" that I'm working on at the moment.

The trick is to write often. Not always on one project -- just keep writing. And be sure to keep everything you write -- no matter how crappy. You'll never know when you'll come across it, edit it to perfection, and find the right place for it to fit.

Awww, Dalliance. Your post is beautiful and lovely. Smiley: smile That is good advice. I actually do have a few things hidden away, but I mostly chuck things out because I loathe them after they are written. I should hang on to them. I guess you never do know what might develop, right? And I am going to just sit down and write something today. Just anything.

Oh and btw, registered for the Playhouse and had a read of some things there. Some very interesting and well-written stuff, Dall. Good readin'....so, thanks!

Glad you liked it, Tare, and hope to see some stuff from you !
I hope you prove a rarity and actually give some feedback if you find some.

Out of all the disagreements I've had with my mother, the deepest wounding one would be the time I moved back home and found she had thrown away all of my notebooks. Notes, poems, stories and what not from high school and college.

Keep everything !
