So it was pretty quick. When it's right and you know it's right, there isn't any reason to mess around, IMO.

You're right about that. See, hubby had just gotten out of a bad marriage and was a bit gun-shy. That's why we drove the 2 hours on the weekends for so long. I knew we were right for each other, I just had to wait for him to come around, lol.

I didn't meet Flea online, but it did have a huge role in keeping us together.

She was 3 hours ahead of me, so I'd leave my computer on, and in the morning around 6 am I'd hear that "ding" from aol instant messanger.

Then during lunch at college I'd be in the library chatting again, that, many phone cards, and many used cell phone minutes kept us from going crazy while I was 3000 miles away from her.

Oh you two...such nice stories. Who loves love? Tare loves love. I think that's so romantic; kinda like the old days when people corresponded by mail and that was what held them together. And a little distance doesn't hurt when building sexual tension either. Smiley: wink2

I don't know. I think the thing that has killed the internet as a tool for meeting people for me is the enormous amount of a) weirdos on the net and b) requests for cyber-action I get when online. I'd honestly be open to meeting someone online if I thought for a second they weren't a panty-wearing, greased up construction worker from Toledo. Although, at this point I might be slightly more entertained by that than anything else I've got going on!

Weirdos - send me e-mail, dammit!

Hmmm. I hope you're right, Miss Flea. Actually, I have a b/f right now, but not the most exciting moment in our relationship. I get bored so easily and then, well then, I get into trouble.

Ahhh sweet trouble. So delightful. So addicting.

Know what Flea? This is absolutely, 100% right. It seems that when one is looking for a woman, you never seem to find any. But the second you find a girl you like, BAM!! Single girls left and right. Why does that always happen?

Damn Murphy and his "law"...

So when you were young, Tare, and your Mom said it's time to go to sleep, you'd pitch a fit and throw a temper tantrum all the way into the bedroom?

You must have been a rotten child...

What about sounds associated with that?

Like, after the temper tantrum to your bedroom, would slamming your door **** you off even more?

You see it works a little something like this. When a female sees that you are single they automatically assume that there is something wrong with you (because you don't have a woman). However, when a female sees you with a girly on your arm it peeks their interest. They start to think, hey what does this girl see in this guy? They get curious and then they begin to want you. They want whatever it is that this girl likes you for. Women are very jealous of each other and according to them a good man is hard to find. When in all actuality, the good men are sitting at home because they can't find a date, much like the women who want them. You see it’s a catch 22. You just about need a woman to get one. Much like you need a credit card to establish credit so you can get a credit card.

Hmmm, never thought about it that way. Us young'ns should just walk around campus wearing signs on our chests that read "Single and looking" or "Drunk and easy" ya know? That would make things a lot easier...

No no, you guys have it all wrong.

It's not having the girlfriend, it's the confidence in you that you get from having a girlfriend that they are attracted to.

Believe me, I "realized" that girls loved me when I was taken back in highschool. Tried "having a girlfriend" when I was single to see if it worked. That wasn't it. Found this out in 9th grade, when I made out with a 12th grader. Confidence went way up, as did my appeal to the ladies.

Note to future son: Make out with people in 11th grade too, that way, when school is over and all the 12th graders you made out with leave for college, you won't have to start from scratch.
