No jimi wasn't Pop by any stretch but he inspired alot of non Rock people musically as far reaching as Stone roses, the guitarist of who pointed to him as his main influence.

Sorry murth My bad was for forgot Bleach, but face it even most Nirvana fans wil admit that In Utero was a pretty pathetic effort after Nevermind, i don't even rate Nevermind so i am hardly going to be gushing with enthusiam for the rest am i?

First of all, Moebius :

Not sure why, since Dennis Miller is famous for his "rants," but it simply screamed Leary to me.

80's chease hair metal killed rock n roll.

Rock n roll isn't dead. You only will think so if you bury yourself in 99% of the sh*t that gets airplay.

Talent abounds.

Sure he was. I'd even go so far as to say that he was extremely pop. Pop being short for popular, you know. Just a different time when people actually had something important to say, rather than the crap that's currently being mass delivered.

Music has lot a lot of its soul, but that doesn't mean that it's empty.
