In case you weren't aware, KFC is against women. After all, they do make a lot of their money selling breasts.

Summary: KFC made it onto the Anti-GG's twitter block list somehow. Nope, I don't know how.

Poldaran, you are like a dog with a bone.

Except that you'll never bury it.

And there are thousands of others just like me. Smiley: grin

TB talks about the IGDA support of the blocklist. Turns out one of their own people made it onto the list. Lulz.

The whole Vivian James project was going to donate the proceeds to prostate cancer research. As /v/ put it "to help stamp out butthurt."

I've held back on the belief that GG was about journalism, but I've lost my faith. Pol you let me down.

Releasing the Kracken.....(I'm sorry).

I believe you. You've never given me indication that you were passive aggressively arguing against GG at any point. Not ever. Nope.

Edit: Also, the NYS thunderclap went off about 14 minutes ago. Twitter might be interesting for a bit.

Yeah I've heard. 'She' needs to check off the 'not-your-yield' box or is anti-gg by default.

If one is not for gg they are against gg! Smiley: clap

Not at all. If people want to stay out of it completely, we're totally cool with that as long as they aren't involved in unethical behavior in games development or games media. But if you want to argue against GG, then saying you're anti-GG is more or less a tautology.

We have plenty of our own enemies without manufacturing more, though many of them have been pretty inept lately.

Edit: I think some people are trying to blame #Gamergate for Ferguson. Smiley: laugh

You can't speak for GG, Poldaran. It's a disparate group of unled individuals all with their own point of view. Remember that from when you were disassociating yourself from all the harassment?

But when I posted on 8chan that one time, I was recognized as the leader of GG. I thought you realized that. Smiley: tongue

8chan isn't enough to be leader of gg. If you can unite all of the chans under your banner and drive them across the frigid meme tundra then.... maybe. Just maybe.

With out your contrived enemies you wouldn't have squat. Through malice, ridicule and social outrage you beat down a group that, if your message is true, you should be aligned with.

Congrats on the victory.

You're going to try to shame me for being happy that a group that came out to silence a consumer revolt on behalf of their corrupt friends managed to make themselves look like idiots? Yeah, good luck with that.

For not taking sides, Elinda's been pretty anti-GG from page one. Sometimes foolishly so (like this failed attack).

I made one post on page one.

In response to the OP I wrote:

I thought you were already a feminist. Smiley: frown

If you're willing to call this anti-gg you must then first define gamergate as anti-feminist.

If you're going to define gamergate as an anti-feminist movement, then yes, I'd be against it.

However, it's not an anti-feminist movement,,,right?

Where in this thread have I spoken out for corrupt journalism?

A cosumer revolt over what, Depresssion Quest? A free twine game?

Nice one.

You know, your ability to ignore what's already been discussed would drive me crazy if you hadn't been doing a lot of obvious trolling earlier. So here's an old TB thing.

Your devotion to this "cause" that most of us were bored with weeks ago is amusing. Keep on keeping on I guess, but you should probably be playing Dragon Age or Far Cry like the rest of us instead.

I guess I'm still not seeing where "journalism" enters into any of this.

Would I prefer full disclosure when reading a game review? Sure. If I don't see any statement of affiliation or lack thereof, I'm going to assume that the review is a puff piece. If I can't find another review of the same game, that just reinforces that impression.

The entire concept of "journalism" has changed drastically in the Internet age. When the New York Times can't keep its reporters on the leash, how much control does a web site really have? (Assuming the web site isn't the sponsor of the game being reviewed, of course.)
