Bah. Well, if it doesn't end up being that good at first, I'm sure they'll improve upon it bit by bit. Also, I still have Bad Company 2 that I can play, if nothing else.

I'm a Project Reality mod player, so I'll just wait till then. Which is why I only got ARMA 2 just now (ARMA2 PR came out early September).

I think EQ2 was a great game. I tried getting my old character back, but couldn't remember my login info and the email I had used back then is dead. I suppose I could have tried contacting customer support, but I just figured it would be fruitless.

It's worth a shot to contact them. I've heard they're pretty good about helping people get back into their accounts. Also, IMO, they've made a lot of really nice changes to the game. I don't play as often as I used to (which has nothing to do with the game, it's just RL stuff), but I really enjoy the game when I do get to play.

Hopefully they will make an EQ3 soon, then maybe Bijou can graduate to EQ2.

I didn't, but will probably check it out. Right now, FFXIV is getting much better. But we'll see how things work out, time line wise, I hate endgame stuff for the most part.

Despite a bad reputation, I have never had a bad experience with the customer support, I've always had a swift and decent answer. Heck, they were even able to solve my problems most of the time!

EQII has changed tremendously, perhaps some parts are too easy now, but it's improved tremendously. I'm not too keen on the whole mercenaries that they are going to add to it though.

Started Mass Effect 2 last night but it's still not really calling to me. Maybe I'm just not a space/sci-fi genre kind of guy for RPGs. I was never into Star Wars or Star Trek either. Or maybe I just need a plot-based break and should go with a hack-n-slash or shoot-em-up game for a while and try again later.

The plot itself isn't so good, so I wouldn't wait on a big change-up to spark your interest. I think most of the enjoyment from the series comes from the polish on the characterization (& player control over the narrative), voice acting, and visuals. The conversation system was the biggest selling point for me, but if that's old hat for you, then you might not be as impressed.

Plus, aren't you working through Dragon Age, also? You might be Biowaring yourself out. I'd give it a go later.

Sounds like it's time to kill some zombies tonight in L4D2! Smiley: grin

Yeah, finished DA:O and went into Mass Effect. The difference in interface (both game style and dialogue) might be throwing me off. The games aren't going anywhere so I may as well let it sit for now and hit it up later.

Bioware games are like interactive novels - I couldn't "put down" DA:Origins and played through it a few times with different characters just to get their unique starting stories.

I only played through DA:2 once because your only given the one character (male/female human) throughout the game. Definitely enjoyable but not enough for me to run through it again.

I'm the same way as you with ME 1 & 2 - I'll get to them when the mood hits but the only sci-fi games I ever really enjoyed were space sims (Privateer, Wing Commander series) and RTS games like StarCraft. I enjoyed Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic but I never got around to actually finishing the game nor did I ever get into its sequel, either.

Tried Star Wars Galaxies many years ago where all really enjoyed was playing as a Calamari musician in a cantina.

Wow, lots of people playing Dragon Age: Origins. I saw that the sequel got a lot of not-so-great reviews, but maybe I'll check out the original sometime.

I've been putting my 3DTV to good use playing the Shadow of the Colossus HD re-release for the PS3. I played Ico way back in the day, but my PS2 died before I got a chance to play SoTC, so this is my first time playing through it. I have to say, it's lived up to all of the hype that I had heard. The camera controls are kind of wonky, but the game itself is absolutely sublime, with gorgeous landscapes and a perfect musical score. Every colossi battle feels absolutely epic. This is the first game that I've been really glad to be able to play in 3D, and I'm looking forward to Uncharted 3 coming out later this year in 3D too.

Besides that I've been playing Mass Effect 1 on and off, and replaying through Xenogears on the PSP when I've been on the road. I was really hooked on Mass Effect at first, but since I started going off and doing those repetitive side missions my urge to play has mostly gone. I feel like I need to explore all of these solar systems and planets in fear that I'll miss something important or awesome, and then am sorely disappointed when all I do on each planet is waste an hour driving around surveying minerals, and then infiltrating one of 4 cookie-cutter structures and eradicating one of 4 different enemy types that has infested it.

The next games on my agenda will be possibly Mass Effect 2, depending on how I feel after finishing 1, and then probably Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and/or Red Dead Redemption if they drop to like $15, or possibly Beyond Good and Evil HD on PSN, another supposedly classic game that I never played.

Started playing Far Cry 2 for the mindless violence of it all and it's not a bad shooter. Clearing the same guard posts every five minutes gets a little old though.

I am now playing Dark Souls. And by "playing" I mean going to bed early, driven by a need to numb the shame of my countless deaths.

Have you not played Mass Effect 1 yet? It's better for reasons I can't quite explain.

Played a lot of WoW Cataclysm over the weekend. Had fun exploring the new areas as I get my Dwarf Pally up to 85 (currently 82). Also had a blast doing a guild dungeon run in Ulduar.

Created Wheezer, a Gnome DK - I guess once finished in the starting area for DKs there is no place to really go but to Outland, right? I wish there was someplace else to level as I'm sick of Outland. DK Gnomes are cool.

Created a Gnome Priest just to check out the new starting area for the Gnomes. Good times.

He hates the menu system to the point of not even wanting to play the game, if I understand correctly.

Are you on the PC Joph? I imagine there's a mod to clean up the menus...

Awesome game.

Downloaded Suikoden for my PSP on Friday, played it all weekend (so awesome!)... had never played it before but I am totally enjoying it.

I also downloaded Arc the Lad and Romance of the whatever kingdoms IV... Arc looks like it will be fun after this, not sure I will get into Romance (not sure what the goal is...)

Also been playing a Soul of Rebirth game of FF2 (advance). The cart I bought had a clear on it so I decided to **** around with it, and found I like it better than the original (so far).

In addition to that been doing a lot of Walk of Echoes in XI, and plan on playing a little XIV before they get rid of PL bug (hoping some LS members will burn my THM up a bit).

I feel out of place since I don't play on consoles. I mean, I have a PS2 (and, well, a Dreamcast and my wife's collection of old Nintendos) but I haven't played on it in over a year, and it's usually just Tiger Woods Golf.

I think I just leveled my DK from 58-74 in PVP battlegrounds.
