hehe, as i go by my christian life and try and make myself a better person with the help of god, but anyways lets put it this way i belive in god and some of you dont, so if you guys are right then i have nothing to worry about when i die except a meaningless effort to try and be a good christian, but if im right then those of you who dont belive in god will burn in hell. so either way i have nothing to worry about hahaha, but you my friends do. think about it idiots.

this is boring and useless...no jesus didnt pitch it that way, but what do you expect? you guys go off about how God doesn't exist and we are all a bunch of idiots for believing it...then you come back and throw it in our face when we try to say otherwise.

maybe you don't like to think you'll burn in hell for eternity because then you'd *gasp* have to be accountable for the things you did...but we don't like to think we're just going to dissipate into energy when we die either.

at least we are confident neither will happen to us. life here on earth shows us we ARE accountable for the things we do. and you better hope for your sakes we are wrong about being accountable after the first death.

No, my point was that someone smug in their faith and saying "haha I'm going to heaven and you're all going to hell you idiots" probably isn't going to Heaven anyway. Neither is anyone who is paying lip service to God and going to church just to hedge their bets. Both are exactly the sort of attitudes Jesus decried from the Pharisees so I felt it was worth pointing them out here when they're used as a reason to believe.

As for what you should do, I'm pretty sure the answer Jesus had for when his disciples find themselves rejected was to shake the dust off their boots and move to the next town. No, I'm not saying to leave the board, but if you feel you've said your piece and and we've rejected it, continuing to do so is to throw your pearls before swine.

See? Jesus had the answers to everything!

well i hope i didnt come across as "i'm going to heaven and your not" .. it wasnt my intention, and if it did, it was probably because the person trying to get a response from me got defensive about something i said as an expression of my belief anyhow. in any case, i apologize if i cam across that way.

as for the other part joph..your prolly right. i'll stop expressing my belief in God, heaven and hell if everyone else stops saying things AGAINST it. i'm sure if I created a thread bashing gays that the same people defending their rights and lifestyle would pipe up and say the same old thing a different way. I'll shut up about it if everyone else makes the same effort, but i don't think i'm any less just because my beliefs are those the majority believe in.

Regardless of whether you say you're not a Christian, you profess Christian beliefs, including espousing the end result. That being said, I am sure Jesus is happy to have you defending him against everything said by posters on this forum. Way to go. You should change your title to "Empyre, Because Jesus needs my help".

how about "Empyre, Leave me alone you homos!"

you guys are a bunch of bullies..your all going on my "people I would kill if it werent a sin" list.

It is not my intention to bully you. I think if you look back, I have defended your position as much as I have degraded your posts. I do not agree with your point of view as you have expressed it, and yet knowing more, it would seem, about it, I am compelled to point out to you that rather than come to the constant defense of your non-christian beliefs, if you truly hold them you might think of adhering to Jesus' teachings and let it go. According to the big guy, it is his job, and that of the rest of the holy trinity, to soften hearts and change minds, not the Great Empyre's.

To steal a line from Pat, Just sayin.

actually, i thought i've made that same point abundantely clear many MANY times. I never said (or tried to imply) that I was anyones savior. and I've stated many times that noone walking this earth CAN. you see, this is half the problem here. everyone assumes that I think one way, and misinterpret the rest.

***** it..i'm a bible thumping, self proclaimed savior of souls, lunatic 13 year old white racist wigger. are we all happy now? geesh. ***** off, each and every one of you...first individually, then together and once more in groups of three. i'm tired of defending myself to people that either just can't read english or misinterpret it anyway. if your a hater, click on the link in my sig...theres a present for ya.

y'all really need to get over yourselves. this forum isn't about expressing your opinions or declaring a coherant point, its about saying something more clever than the person before you and chaotically jumping back and forth defending one person and bashing the other...then a little flaming to break the silence when things go quiet, only to start back at square one when the dust clears.
#265 Mar 10 2004 at 4:32 PM Rating: Good
And yet you still miss the point. Nice little sanctimonious speaches defending your faith degenerating to f'uck off, homos. Bravo. Please, shoot your credibility in the foot a couple more times. Respond to this. I beg you.

what point moebius? seriously...what point are you trying to make? you spent a few posts starting to imply I was a human being only to finish them off degrading me, then called me a non-believer...speckled it with a little bit of christianity pokes...then finished it off with some sarcasm and then attempted to show me a teaching of the bible I've already stated MANY FREAKING TIMES and implied I never knew about it.

you've already pretty much implied I have no credibility...which makes you the 38972903rd expert in this forum on the supreme judge of all there is.

your no different than the rest here except you've found a different colorful way to try and prove that I'm some degenerate loser. so go ahead, knock yourself out...when i'm done here, I'll go back in the engineering lab and troubleshoot mechanical problems on the new system then log off and go home to my gf and friends. you won't have changed that one bit. all your doing right now is proving to me that some people like to hear themselves talk and have some serious problems if all they can do on a messageboard is cut down on other people..

join the *****-off club man. i have no problems having discussions with you or anyone else here..but if you keep coming at me with garbage, i'm going to post it right back at you.

"Boy, am I glad I called *that* guy"

I agree with you Empyre, we do need to stop all this useless religious bullshiat. It's not going anywhere. Evolution, on the other hand, is a good topic. It would be interesting to find out what kind of Earth-like microbial life may have been on Mars.

Anybody who says that should be tied to a chair and have bamboo spikes taped under their eyes so when they blinked their eyelids got stabbed...thhhhbbbbbtttt

(this could go on forever...shall we stop now?)

not NEAR as interesting as the atmospheric pressure if we were able to put the outer ring of saturn in a vacuum with a monkey filming it.

That quote right there is one of the main reasons I roll my eyes at religious people. Why would you need any other reason to refrain from hurting another human besides the fact that it is wrong? If you truly need something to be called a sin in order for you to refrain from doing it then my hope is that if there is a god he laughs in your face because all you did was pay lip service and didn't truly belive in the credo of "love thy neighbor".

I was raised haphazardly as a catholic. By the time I was 16 though I decided that logically I couldn't put any more faith into that religion than one might put into the existence of aliens. I do however have my own moral code which can probably be summed up in two statements. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." "An adult should be free to do whatever he/she wishes as long as he/she doesn't hurt the person or property of a non-consenting adult." Am I perfect? No. I do however try my best to live by those guiding principles and if that isn't enough for whatever final judgement that might possibly exist after I die then I wouldn't want anything to do with it anyways.
