I am in contact with Ziff Davis and we are working on a solution to missing magazine subscriptions. Please bare with me as we work through the issues, thanks!

I will update on this thread when things are moving along, and will want comments as to whether you receive your mag or not.

Thank you so much for your understanding with this. As I have stated previously, for those of you that do not want the mag at all, that will come after I deal with the ones that do.

/cheers

I get my mag subscription, but i've been wondering. If I get a free subscription for getting a 3month premium, does renewing my Alla premium tack on another year of magazines?

Tell them they owe me three years worth of back issues. I want to read up on that upcoming World of Warcraft MMORPG and see if it's supposed to be any good.

DF, I can see why Nobby loves you so much...

Thank you for working on trying to get our magazines for us! Smiley: yippee

I don't think I have ever gotten an issues of this magazine since I first went premium a few years back (I have had premium constantly since I first joined up).

So yeah, anything that you can do would help!

Would be great if you could make some overseas arrangements too. Quite a lot of posters are European from what I've gathered.

But in the immortal words of Piet Hein:

Sounds to me like they want the publicity but don't want to share in the profits. =/ If they drop the deal I think it will leave a bad taste in the mouth of gamers. Allah > Magazines when it comes to MMO info I.M.O.

I'd love to get it again. I remember getting it for maybe my first year or so on my former account, then it just stopped. But i did enjoy reading it.

Can you just give me a free year subscription to alla to make up for all the magazines I should have gotten? I've never recieved my magazines and I've been premium for years now. I think it's only fair. Smiley: motz

I got the first issue that was the changed name to Games for Windows. That was the last issue I received. I don't remember what month that was.

Was just coming to the site to ask about this, when I saw this existing thread.

Hope it gets resolved soon.

Any chance that I'll see back issues from that last one? I do like reading it.

A update on my issue. A day or so ago I was over my parents house dropping them off a DVD they wanted and My Mother was complaining about the junk mail my brother and I both still get there. I looked thru the pile and games for windows was in it.

I changed the shipping address on their web site to my address.

Not the really odd thing.....I Lived with my folkd breifly 2 times in the last 10 years. Once for 1 month after I left the service and once for 2-3 months after I returned from a year as a contracter working in Germany. At neither time was I suscriber to Alla's or CGM. Where the heck did they get my parents address?

I also have never received my magazine subcription. Before I came upon this thread I contacted the magazine and have not received a response back, but I did this very recently. Zam is a great site, and I wouldn't cancel my subscription over this, but it's dissapointing to see one of zam's partnerships go awry like this. I think what's not being made clear to zam subscribers is that this isn't something your company is withholding, and if I hadn't found this thread I wouldn't have known it was being handled. Is there any way to send an email to premium members to let them know? Perhaps that'd keep the number of disgruntled subscribers lowered. If you guys are giving anything (free ad space or the like) in trade for the mag subscriptions I'd revoke it until the matter is resolved.

Hi guys,

DF is a busy girl, so I'm trying to take the magazine subs off her hands. We've had some miscommunications in the past--ie "You didn't send us the list of addresses!" "Yes we did!" "Oh, that? That file wouldn't open!" But it looks like things should be working now.

Because of the way that the script we use to generate the address list works, any address that has been previously generated will not be generated again. This means that we may have missed a few of our premium subscribers, and I apologize for that. Hopefully the weekly giveaways will make up for it. :)

Regardless, from this point forward I am regularly updating Ziff Davis with the subscriber info for the magazines. Bear in mind that the free magazine subscription is only for one year--so if you stopped getting the mags, that's probably why.
