sorry but this is just a vent for any1 else who wants to scream at the sky for having to lose to Maat.... twice... wtf?
My job is a PLD and i should have fought Maat at 66 so i wouldnt have to deal with Asuran fists but no im a lvl 70 PLD moron who must beat the best to be the best >.> F*** THAT....

First fight ends up with me and him battling and he has 10-15% hp left and im full on HP and MP and he Asuran fists me, then Shield bashes me , then Asuran fists me 2 more time in less then 25 seconds causing 1500+ DMG O.o wtf? AWWWWWWWWWWW
i almost threw my controller at my TV screen and knawed of my right arm.

so after 3 weeks i recpoperated. and lvled other jobs and then on Saturday night i was bored and said f**k it let me go exact my revenge...

i had been watching a video of a PLD who fought maat and his butt is SOOOO lucky where was his ASURAN FISTS O.o
He got shoulder tackled and one inch punched >.>.... id take 100-200 dmg anyday compared to asuran fists 400-500 dmg >.> wtf not coool..... so i start battle off by sleeping myself and raising TP WOOT 100% then i flashed him ran in vorpal and bam got him then i popped my wing gorget tp raise enhancment and in like 10 seconds of swinging and TP raise vorpal again then i pop a icarus wing bam got him then he invinces and banish 3's me so im fighting him straight(last time i kited him while he was invinced, actually lost more HP then hahah) up popping potions and ethers while hes invinced then it weares and within seconds of it wearing my TP goes up again, even after i took the wing gorget and put my memento muffler on and did the +7 vit, then i pop invincible and im kiking his OLD crippled bootay... i popped vorpal 1 more time and i was like take that {bio}tch so he is at 10-15 again and then he cast banish 3 and im at 1100 hp after just popping a vile elixer +1, then O.O he Asuran fists me and im like u (insert samuel jackson's profanity here) then SHIELD BASHES ME O.0 and then Asuran punches me doing 100 dmg so now im at 507 and he does Asuran fist one more time >< and does 512 dmg..... needless to say i was out and AWWWWWWW instead of knawing off my arm i actually punched the wall and hurt my right hand knuckles lol and now i feel like quiting, but i probably wont damn addiction ><,

first battle equipment was espadon+1,diamondshield+1,Rosenbogen,runearrow,lords armet,wing gorget/memento, merman earrings both ears, scorp harness, tarasque mitts, herc ring, chrysoberyl ring, Amenet mantle+1, life belt, lord cuisess and gallant leggings....

second battle equipment was
espadon+1,diamondshield+1,Rosenbogen,runearrow, emp hairpin (who knows y i had this on),winggorget/mementomuffler/opo-opo necklace at beginning, merman earrings, gallant surcoat, gallant mufflers, herc & chrysoberyl rings, Knightly Mantle, lord cuisses, life belt, gallant leggings.........

not knowing everything im always open to learning new things. but what i do know is for pld maat fight u set up for attack not defence. i know a few peeps who have fought him and they setthem self up for attacker.

the lords set removes mp and gives u hp right? does it incresse attacks? remember your out to beat him to death. show him the pain!!!!!

OWWW believe me i know this i have read every freakin forum and discusion about Maat fight from other PLD's and also asked some ingame friends

first battle lol i had the F***er down to 10-15% hp in 2-3 minutes considering
attack i had tarasque mitts= +10 attack, Amemit mantle +1= 15 attack merman earrings = both +5 attack, espadon = +7 attack.
that = 42 attack lol and i used a red currry hahaha

accuracy i had life belt = +10 accuracy, scorp harness +10, giving me a combined 20+ accuracy

and on the second time i used less accuracy and attack armor and i found out the battle was a little longer but still the same verdict hahhaa i guess i have to camp Ose huh hahhaa any1 wanna help?

It's the opopo necklace. While you are asleep the necklace gives you tp. it takes about 4 sleeping potions to get 100% tp (if I remember...not a melee so never have done this) I believe it's a level 65 neckpiece, fairly cheap. Well the sleeping ptions aren't but..

If you can find somone with a Hauby you can borrow then DO IT! and macro that bad boy in for all of your Weapon skills. Also if you have Great sword skilled the whip that bad-boy out on maat and spinning slash his ass.

Sleep to 300% and give a nice hefty Spirits Within.

Yea you gotta think Damage dealer here. Also, are you sure it was banish 3? I thought he casts Banish 2 now after they made it Whm only...
Also, he is easy just don't get nervous and you should be able to win. You many use a Blink band too, that should save you some there. Don't sleep til 300%... waste of time.

I used the attack method instead of defense when I went as Bard. You think you got problems? It worked though, I finished with over 400 hp. But I did wear evasion gear and carpace armor.

Took weeks off to level sword so I could spirits within. And yes I slept myself too.

Had to write a list of everything I wanted to do, cause first time I forgot to change out my armor and fought with the opo opo necklace on.
