Lately I moved out of my parent's house to do what every 21 year old male--live on their own. Unfortunately, funds are low and jobs are scarce.

I just got access to internet from my landlord and a decent laptop to look for jobs and *cough*playgames*cough*. I've been away from FFXI for a bit (stopped around August and hoped to be done with it) and now I am leaning towards it again.

Until I can provide the funds to actually play my character again, I am going to see how far I can make it in 14 days, just for kicks and giggles. I've always like leveling up jobs from scratch and hopefully it will be as exciting as it was when I first started.

The software is being downloaded and hopefully there isn't any kind of prepayment made before getting the trial...

It's been about a week since the trial version ended and I forgot to put up the final results (if anyone was curious).

Because the trial version did not include any of the expansions I decided to choose DRK (would have been NIN if it were possible).

I am surprised at how fast I was able to get that high in 13 days (trial ended at the start of the 14th day) But then again, 6 out of 8 parties that I was in were equipped with a PL. My skills weren't horribly underleved, I was capped at 40 with GS and Scythe (just enough for a pickup BCNM 40...nothing good dropped).

Back in the day I remember it taking forever for me just to hit 50. I cycled through all of the jobs to see if there was really anything that I could consistently play.

Fun experience, don't think I would want to do it again.

That was a pretty good run for 14 days, IMHO.
