The end of one adventure...The begining of another...Follow

After five fun filled years, my adventures in Vana’D have come to an end.

I have a RL adventure ahead of me and I need to concentrate on it if I’m ever going to accomplish the things I want. That doesn’t leave any room for FFXI anymore.

I have had so much fun and lots of good memories from the last five years. FFXI was my first MMO and it certainly has been a different experience than any other game I ever played.

Thanks to everyone who ever helped me with anything at all. Thanks to all the members of the many main LS’s I’ve been in over my time here, for those people who may still be lurking around or read this board: TheCourageous, ShortBusCrusaders, Bladesingers, ClanDestine, and Immortality. Pass on my love and thanks to any of these people you may still run with.

The good news is that this isn’t completely goodbye. There is a new FF MMO on the horizon that I will be waiting for. It will be fun to start the experience all over again. It should leave me plenty of time to get done what I need to get done and my life where I want it to be, just in time for FFXIV to show up. I hope anyway.

So, a heartfelt goodbye to any of you I do happen to never see again, but for the unfortunate rest of you, I’ll be seeing you in Eorzea!

Thanks for the memories!

Papillon

I am sure OP will do great with her RL adventures since she is resourceful and smart Smiley: smile. Stay in touch. You know where to find some of us anyway.

More than a few times I have considered quitting -- not because of what the content of the game, but mostly some "down" periods with some folks in game, or being too busy with career. It has never been what the content in the game that keep my account active -- mostly it is for the few people still I hang out with.

Off Topic:
Reminds me I will be visiting Phoenix for a few hours in a few weeks. Going to business trip to Hawaii, and with US Airways "ate" American West Airlines, so I got to stop in Phoenix to change planes.

It will be my first time in Arizona.

I don't know you, but I also wish you well with everything. I've looked at your deviantart page a few times and I like the work you're doing there.

Thanks Furby, I do appreciate it.

For the uninitiated, that is the work and career I'm pursing and why I'm quitting to concentrate on. I have a lot of work to do before I get my stuff where I want it to be, but I'll get there. ^^

And some of my work is most certainly FFXI inspired. I do have a couple pieces of some people you may know on my To-do list. :D

Since Elgato already said "who?" I guess that I'll just wish you good luck and don't be a stranger (yeah yeah, we all know you're strange).

PS. Keep posting to deviantart as you do things, I have you on watch or whatever it is.

We've been in a lot of the same LS's but we've only met a few times and if we were in the same LS's forgive my memory. xP Have fun in real life and hopefully see you in 14!
