I've been having trouble getting parties lately in the 50-60 range as a sam, and I just want to know what some of your input is? Before anyone even starts, no, i dont have a haubergeon, but, seriously, thats a heavy price tag. I cant blow out 4 million gil for it. Then again, I've also outshined another sam in the party, who was wearing one. I think a certain factor of skill and how well you play should come into choosing party members, not just those who have the "cool" or "best" gear.

Anyways, I just need some input from you guys on how to get a blasted party!

I think its because of the sheer volume of DD there are about at this level, I am also having the same problem as 52War/nin.
I have outshined all other melee DD I have partied with recently but still the invites are slow coming.

The other night I /sea all inv in my level range.
18 people LFG ALL were damage dealers =/

Thats nothin my friend. :)

Try having to get parties on the weekdays since your job won't let you have weekends off. ;) I've waited up to 7 hours for a party once.

Most camps are limited in the 50-65ish range

*Kuftal is so and so, gets crowded with people skilling up/PTing

*Gustav can only hold 2 PTs usually

*Cape Terrigan is another limited only area usually

*Valley of Sorrows can only hold 2-3 PTs before it gets gimped

*Onzozo can only hold 2 also

EVERYONE. Read this and heed it. I'm tired of people coming into LoO and seeing two parties already there. "{Bibiki Bay}?" "Nah, we'll just party here."

NO, you won't. Go elsewhere.

Ah but Cody, you fail to note that every party at this lvl, in some way shape or form, will have a healer(traditionally whm), a nuker (traditionally blm, aka you) and a refresher (filled in by rdm/brd)and a tank (pld/nin). Being a blm, you're almost always secured a spot in a party, whereas being a damage dealer, its more the luck of the draw whether the pt leader wants a sam, a drk, a war, a drg, or a thf. And usually, they are going to take the thf for SATA, leaving the other 4 to pure chance whom gets invited. More people are breaking away from the traditional cookie cutter party, but even in that aspect, DD's are still going to have a hard time lfp.

Maybe I'll start a static party...anyone interested?

Kag, don't worry my friend, you'll eventually end up with an invite or two. In your search comment, describe yourself as best as possible: food, attack/accuracy bonus, tnl, and for whatever reason, jp/eu/na does help.
Also, you can use my Royal Knight's Chainmail if you'd like, but no one touches the hauby but me XD. (Sorry Kag, but that damn thing cost me my left ******** ><)
Oh well, see you on the LS.
If you need some gil, I have about 200 seals. Find a BCNM a PLD or DRK(I have 40 gear for both) SAM, and something else can do.

Well Dom...I might be hitting you up for gil! (lol, jk) But..I'll keep on trying. If not, then I guess I'll wait for another "job boom" as i like to call it, and ride the waves again...

LoL. Try 3 straight days of LFG w/o a single invite... and here's why...

What job is missing from that list? That's right... MNK :-/ I'm so glad I'm passed the dry 50s. I can say that any monks suffering through that now that it IS worth it. Just hang in there.

That being said, I have two jobs just under 50 that I'll be leveling soon; DRK and THF. >< Ouch. LoL. I think I'll be prebuilding PTs for the most part.
