I recently used up some of my merits and added to my MP,INT, and Elemental magic. Being Elvan i'm base gimped on a few areas Int and MP particularly. What I'm wondering is what some other Elvan mages apply merits too. From what I've done so far I noticed a huge difference in my BLM. I hit 51 this weekend with BLM and can use my staves again. From what Damage I was doing before I could equip my staves, to what I'm doing now is night and day. I have not sat down and tried to test the differences, but it is noticable. So if your upgrading your base stats with merits I would like to know what others are doing.

Well right now i'm working on maxing out my Thunder Potency. After that i'll max out Elemental Magic and then to max out INT.
As a elvaan blm just try and load up on as much Magic Attk Bonus gear you can cause 1 MAB= 5 dmg while 1 INT= 2 dmg
