Hello all, I am sure you remember my little angry rant from that thread of mine that I removed as per a request. But today I have a simple question I want to put forth and I intend to keep this flame free and anger free (those can wait for another day.) This question is, how many LS's is too many? I myself went through a time where I carried about three, but now I only carry one, after that little rant probably ruined my rep I wasn't surprised I didn't have one but I am working on building that back up but I digress. Another friend of mine usually carries about seven different LS's on him and when asked about them he tells me that he doesn't even remember what he got most of them from, while another friend of mine says he only has one and only wants one.
So what is excessive? More than five? Never have too many? Wish you had more? Just wondering.

I carry two on me at all times, Ionstorm and the Preatorians. I also a Bladesingers pearl in my moghouse in case they invite me to a function and I need to be in their LS for the proper communications. I spend the majority of my time in IonStorm because it is easier to keep track of what is going on and where I am needed.

As noble as your intentions were, I have to disagree with the results. You know how I work. :P

Two pearls is hard enough for me to manage, I couldn't image having more then two mains.
Edit: I find that people with more then a couple LSs are the kind of people the bounce into an LS, ask for help and then bounce to the next when they don't get the assistance they were looking for. Those people drive me nuts.

LoL two for me also. BladeSingers is my main and IonStorm is my HNMLS.
I agree completely with Dahlgren about those that have a lot more "typically" are the ones that just jump in, get help, then move on. Not always, but usually.
I jump in IonStorm any chance I get to offer help because I don't want to be a leech.

Hmmm... good question. I look at like this, you can have as many LS's as you'd like, but don't be a LS ***** (a person who moves from LS to LS looking/asking for help with things they need and never helping unless it's things they need...). LS Whores ruin LS's IMO and I have known a few.
Personally, I have 5 LS's currently. One is my main - CLanDestine and with them I feel most comfortable and like family with. I know pretty much all of them (some new and really quiet late-at-night folks I haven't had the pleasure with...). I also have pearls to VanadelsFinest, Praetorians, and Slackerz. I also just got one fron Extacee for CoP missions. I don't have a HNM LS, but would like one some day when someone in one of those LS's likes my skills in one or several of my jobs (although rusty in some LOL...) and invites me to join. I am not one to ask for a pearl.
I guess it's all in how many you want to carry around or store, and how you use them (for helping, social/friends, etc.) and if you need them. I always love people that say they have like 10 LS's... I immediately think, "WOW! That's a lot of lost space!" Heh!

i had as much as 5 once but then i found that i stayed in some more than others, so there wasn't much point in having those other ls. lol i don't quite get how people have 7 or more ls at once and be able to be in a good relationship wiht the ls. i think Linkshell is like a little community, it seems to take time and effort to fit in lol. like knowing the others in the linkshell better and do stuff with them inorder to feel like being IN that linkshell. but the constant switching of linkshell i don't quite understand how you would achieve that.. /think.
of course, there's nothing wrong with carrying a lot ^_^ everyone plays their game differently i guess
